Science Center!

 Noni gave all her piano students tickets to the local children's science museum for Christmas so last week we met up with one of the other families for a fun afternoon!

We used to go here a lot when the big girls were little but Peaches and Lou had never been! They LOVED it! They have moved to a new location since the last time we went and it's a lot smaller but they did an incredible job with the space. There were displays and fun things to do in literally ever nook and cranny! They really liked the play house and Lou wanted to play mailman.

This little house is adorable. 

 

 

They brought this digger over from the other place...I remember the big girls loving it too. :)

 

 

Same for the water table. I think the girls spent about half an hour here just moving the dividers and testing out water currents.  

 

 

 

J just wanted to float the boats and sharks down the paths, the difference between boys and girls? :) 

 

 

Bug had the day off so she was able to meet us down there! The girls had fun playing with her. 

 

 

This thing was pretty cool. You could get the rings to stand up and spin as the big metal disk spun the opposite way. 

 

 

Peaches got pretty good at it! 

 

 

There were so many different things to do! We didn't even get to do all of them and we were there for almost three hours!

 

 

 

Lou loved the kitchen and she and I took turns being the shopkeeper and grocery shopper and then taking our food "home" and putting it away.  

 

 

This giant bubble thing was really neat!  

 

 

There was a station where you could make a stop motion video. This is the one Peaches and B created. Peaches contribution was the chicken walking along the bottom of the ocean at the end, haha.

 

They had several craft stations where you could make things. The girls made paper rockets and then shot them off using this kid-powered ball/air system. There were so many paper rockets up in the ceiling rafters!  

 

 

They also could make a parachuter and put it in an air tube to fly up.  

 

 

Such an amazing place!! The girls had a blast and did not want to leave! We'll have to go back sometime. Thank you Noni for the fun time!!!
