We went to our local theme park a little early this year! We usually go in August but one of the homeschool moms got together a group with a really great discount so we signed up. Daddy had to work unfortunately but Noni was able to come with us!
Ready for a fun day!
So excited they were skipping to the entrance. Check out Lou in the air. Haha.
The big girls REALLY wanted to hang out with their friends and not stick with us. I was the only mom who hesitated, but I eventually gave in and they did a great job being responsible and checking in with me throughout the day. Here they are waiting for the rest of their group.
I thought it took longer to get there so we arrived well before the park opened and had to wait a bit. It was so fun to go with so many friends!
Our first stop was the carousel! I'm not sure who was more unsure here...Lou or the horse? Haha!
We did the cars several times.
Peaches actually did an amazing job driving and hardly jerked the car around at all!
Then it was time to introduce Lou to the kiddie rides! Funny story...she kept asking me to go on the kitty ride and I kept telling her there was a doggie ride, a froggie ride, a butterfly ride, but no kitty ride. She was getting frustrated when I later realized she thought we were saying "kitty" instead of "kiddie". :P
The first time on this she wasn't too sure.
And they ended up riding over and over! She LOVED it!
We met up with everyone at the buffet for lunch which was part of our group deal. I grabbed a picture before the teens rushed off again to roller coaster alley.
We hit the log ride next!
Lou wanted a picture...I had put my phone into a sandwich bag so it wouldn't get wet.
The butterfly ride was a bit much for Lou. It doesn't look like it would be too scary but it swings pretty high back and forth.
After that she found the doggie ride which she rode over a dozen times over the course of the day. She loved it!
She would get off and run straight back to the line.
