This first picture was from a few days before New Year's Eve. We had bought Daddy a fun new game for Christmas and were testing it out. We quickly learned it would have to be a game played after Lou went to bed! She kept grabbing the pieces and running off with them so we gave up.

On the actual New Year's Eve we made some fun appetizers and had a game night. It was sad not to be doing the same up at church with all our friends but we promised ourselves that next year we would do that.
After dinner we played Color Brain. Lou did better with that game.
But was still "Lou". :P\
I remembered that we had some fireworks leftover from the fourth of July so we bundled up and went outside to set them off. And we realized why we've never done it before...we all froze in the short time it took to light off the remaining sparklers and leftover fireworks. Although we did learn that the "ground bees" are WAY cooler in the snow!
Lou loved the sparklers. She did not love my hand keeping her from whipping them around. :P
We hightailed it back inside to get warm, got Lou down for bed, and then played Daddy's new game. We let the bigger girls stay up til ten.
