One Month!

 Even though this is our 4th I am still amazed at how quickly babies change and grow! E is growing SO fast!  

I guess the first thing I should mention is that we have finally picked a nickname! Since we have a Bug and Boo we decided we needed a "P" name to go with Peanut. T pulled up a list of nicknames starting with P on the Internet and found Peaches! Right after she was born and I saw that she had no hair (compared to the others) and started calling her my fuzzy peach head so it was perfect! I still love to rub my hands over her soft, fuzzy, perfectly round, little head. :) 

So here's our little Peaches at one month.

She is a very easygoing baby! 

I think 4 is the magic number when it comes to kids. Usually it takes a few weeks for us to find a new "normal" and get used to juggling the other kids with a new baby. This time we just settled right in with no problems. The day we came home from the hospital T left me alone for a couple hours and it was just fine. I think it might be because Peanut is older? Bug was 2 years and 9 months when Boo was born and Boo was 2 years and 8 months when Peanut was born. Peanut, on the other hand, was 3 years and 5 months. Being older, she is much more independent then the other two were when their sisters were born. She dresses herself, can buckle herself, get a drink of water by herself, etc. Whatever the case adding a 4th has been no problem at all...easiest transition by FAR! Peaches just goes along for the ride and as long as I feed her every 3 hours she's happy. :)

She also settled into the Babywise routine faster than all the others. She came home from the hospital already on a 3 hour schedule and has continued to move right along the Babywise "track". She does have one fussy period. From about 9-10PM she is unhappy...tired but just cries if we try to put her down...but cries and fusses if we hold her too. So even though she's not due to eat till 11 I usually feed her at 10 and then put her down for the night. Then she sleeps for a good 5-6 hours! Yay! So her schedule goes like this:

Wake up and eat: 4-5AM (goes right back to sleep)

Wake up and eat: 8ishAM

Nap: 9AM-11AM

Eat and Waketime: 11AM

Nap: 12:30PM-2PM

Eat and Waketime: 2PM

 Nap: 3:30PM-5PM

Eat and Waketime: 5PM

Nap: 6:30PM-8PM

Eat and Waketime: 8PM

Fussy time: 9PM-10PM

Eat and straight to bed: 10PM

The first few weeks she cried a lot when we first put her down for naps, but now she just looks around for a while and then falls asleep. Every now and then she'll still need to cry it out for a few minutes, but those times are getting few and far between.

Two days before she turned one month we started putting away the Newborn clothes. She now wears 3 months. Such a big girl! 

 She starting to be a lot more aware and study our faces. She notices now when we leave the room and doesn't like to be left alone. Her sisters keep her entertained with their antics and so far the novelty of a new baby hasn't worn off.  They are still smitten with her and want to help with diaper changes and burping her. They take turns picking out her clothes every day and helping get her dressed. They're all doing a great job with her, being gentle and helpful!

Her favorite thing to do is eat and we aren't having any more problems with nursing. She's doing great. She's our happy, healthy, snuggly little sweetheart, and we thank God for her every day!
