Dance Recital

Last night the girls had their dance recital.  They were adorable, and did such a good job!  It is always so fun to watch them do stuff like that.

Their original dance teacher left and her daughter and daughter-in-law took over, but for most of the summer it was uncertain whether or not there would still be a dance school here.  In the change over a lot of people went to the dance school two towns away.  Boo's class is only 4 girls as opposed to 12 last year, and Buggy's is only 7.

It's kind of nice that they are in separate classes now so we can watch each one instead of trying to watch both during the same routine.

To make it work on dance class days one of the older girls from church comes over for an hour and half after school and stays with Peanut (who is napping) and Bug while I take Boo to class, and then while I take Bug and pick up Boo.  Then she leaves and by the time Bug is done Peanut is awake and we all can go pick Bug up.  It's a bit complicated, but it's nice to have them in their own classes so they can do their own thing. :)

Bug's class got to wear their Christmas dresses.  We've always had matching dresses but Bug spotted this dress at Costco and fell in love with it so we let her get it.  She looked so cute and sparkly!

 Boo picked this polka dotted dress.  Her costume was her black leotard, but we let her wear the dress over it before and after the recital since she asked nicely. :)

 

After we took those pictures the girls wanted to see them on the little screen and we looked over and noticed Peanut had walked over to the wall, turned around, backed up and was saying, "Chee!"  She wanted to be just like her big sisters! :)

We had to get a picture of all three of our little loves.

 Boo Bear looked so tiny and adorable up on the big stage!  She was a "Sugah pwum faiwee!"

And she was so excited about her wand with the purple (her favorite color) ribbons.

 All the girls in her class go to our church so it was fun to see her dancing with her little friends.

 When she did her grand chasse, she chasse-ed right behind the curtain.  The audience started giggling at her disappearing act.

So so cute.

 Buggy went up there so prim and proper and did an awesome job!

 She has grown so much and her dancing is so polished compared to when she first started.  It's fun to watch her improvement!

 The dance is always a surprise so we hadn't seen either of their routines.  

Yay, Buggy! Way to go!

 Peanut ran around being her busy little self.  She wouldn't sit still so Daddy stood in the back with her.  We're working on not pulling up the dress. :)

She had fun raiding the dessert table. :)

 At the end all the dancers got up on stage and sang "We Wish You A Merry Christmas".

Before the show we'd had dinner (lasagna made by Noni, yum!) with Grandma, Grandpa, Noni, Papa, and Mama.  Afterwards we all went back to the house and Grandma had a present for the girls to open. 

 They were beautiful old world Princess ornaments. The girls love them!
