Last Saturday we got to participate in the fun experience of making apple cider at our friends’ farm!

The girls got to see the whole process, starting with the tree…
They helped us gather apples for a bit, but didn’t last too long. It was cold and raining so that didn’t help with their enthusiasm for the chore.
They got to help wash the apples…
then feed them into the grinder…
…then watch the juice come flowing down into tubs, where Mr. D siphoned it into jugs.
But the best part was definitely drinking it!
Yum!

What a fun idea! You can make that a science lesson and talk about change and how the apple changed:). So exciting, what a great time!
