Happy Birthday Peanut!

 We started our birthday celebrations a day early because Peanut wanted homemade hamburgers and fries for her birthday dinner but it takes me hours to make this meal from scratch so I knew I wouldn't be able to do it on her real birthday since we planned to be at the pool. This is probably our whole family's favorite meal, but it takes so long to make that I don't do it very often!

After dinner she made her birthday cupcakes.

 The next morning we gathered everyone and let her come down. I love how expressive she is. Haha.

She has been asking for a gel nail set and UV lamp for a long time and we finally got it!

 

 

She loves to do nails and was super excited about all the colors.

 

 

You have to do a coat and then let the lamp set it for three minutes. We've all had our nails nicely done since she got it!

 

 

We headed to her pick up friends for her party after she finished her nails.  I'll post those pictures tomorrow. We arrived home at 6:30 that night and pulled in right after Papa and Mama who had picked up Dominos for us...so nice!

 

 

After dinner we let her open all her presents. 

 

 

She got tons of fun stuff!

 

 

Her sisters got her some fun craft kits.

She got birthday money from Aunt K, Uncle K and Aunt J, and Uncle J and Aunt H.  

 

 

Auntie N got her a fun wood painting kit. Aunt D and family got her a pressed flower kit. Mama got her a new sketchbook and pencils. 

 

 

One of her favorite treats is hazelnut wafers. I hardly every buy any but I got her some for her birthday. She was so happy. Haha.

 

 

Grandma and Grandpa gave her birthday money and she used it to buy all this when she went on her special day with Noni. They went shopping and Noni bought her a new dress and a pretty cream sweater. 

 

 

She loved all her presents and has been painting nails every few days. This is one of my favorites so far...ice cream flavors that she did on Lou. So cute!

 

 

What a wonderful birthday she had! Thanks to all who made it special!

Camping! - Part 4

 After they got back from boating they swam and we went on another kayak trip. When we got back we found that some of our friends had come for a visit! They had brought their boat around on the lake and stayed and played for a couple hours.

 

 

They headed home when it got close to dinner time.

 

 

We went back to the cabin to eat our dinner.

 

 

And then enjoyed another round of sunset smores before bed. 

 

 

The big girls played more games and J and S taught T and I how to play a fun game called Sequence.

 

The next morning the girls played a few games.

 

 

And then got to go back out on the boat again!

 

 

After church friends started arriving.

 

 

We filled up the pavilion and had a good crowd for lunch.

 

 

The girls love a good potluck. :)

 

 

And the teenagers had fun too!

 

 

Then it was down to the water for baptisms!

 

 

6 or 7 people got baptized this year and I only knew two of them! It was mostly family members of church people.

We did know M though! She decided at the last minute that she wanted to be re-baptized and was so sweet and excited!

 

 

The girls swam and played with their friends for a few hours.

 

 

And then it was time to pack up and go home.

 

 

Another wonderful camping trip in the books!

Camping! - Part 3

 The girls all agree that it's more fun when lots of friends come camping with us, but the up side is that they get all the boat rides! Mr. J took them out on the lake for hours!

 

 

They all got to go tubing multiple times and it sounds like they had a blast!

 

 

I guess T went with Boo at one point and I think they both ended up pretty bruised. :P

 

 

I got all these picture off his phone because I was relaxing on the shore, not getting seasick, with my book, and visiting with Ms. S while they played on the water. :)

Big thanks to Mr. J! In the past he has always loved to water ski and goes out early in the morning and then again at sunset, but because of an injury in the past year he isn't able to water ski anymore :( so he really brought the boat and did all the driving just for the girls, so nice!!
