Pumpkin Carving!

The "field trip" pumpkins at the pumpkin patch are pretty small, but Boo found a bigger one and Daddy managed to get the others carved even though they were tiny. 

They had also frozen so that made them softer and easier to carve. :)

 

Peanut and Peaches both wanted to paint theirs. I was surprised how specific and sparse Peaches painting was. I was expecting her to just slop it all on there like in years past. :) 

Peanut made a donut. :)

Check out Peaches face. This is one of her new things when I start to take a picture. Lovely. :P

The little ones were dirty from dinner and painting so we plopped them in the sink. 

I love that our sink is big enough for little baths!

Here is the finished product. It's been so cold they didn't last long, but at least we were festive this year. :)

A Yummy Cell

Bug had an assignment to create a model of a cell. She originally wanted to make it out of styrafoam, but then decided to make an edible model which the rest of us benefited from. Haha. 

Noni had given her a pasta maker which she uses for her fondant creations.

 

 She worked for six hours one Saturday baking, forming, and then putting it all together!

Later we uploaded the picture to the computer and she created a Power Point and labeled each part of the cell and explain what each part does. I thought she did a great job! 

Grandma and Grandpa were here the day she made it so they got to taste the cell. :)

Leftover Thursday

I LOVE the drawing phase Peaches is in right now. SO cute! "This is my family!" 

Bug's friend J was able to come over for a few hours after church the other day. They painted nails and made cookies. :)

Look at that tooth gap! Daddy says its so big you could water ski through it. Lol!

 

Static electricity?

I think Peanut's hair is cutest just above her shoulders. Since it was getting past that point I made her an appointment and she got a cute little bob. Love it!

Buggy does this weird thing to apples where she is able to make a hollowed out circle!

Wordless Wednesday

Pumpkin Patch!

I had been trying to figure out a day to go to the pumpkin patch and then we heard that Bug's teacher was hosting an outing to it! Noni was able to go with us and we worked ahead so they could all take the day off. We grabbed a picture on the way in and then I got to meet Bug's teacher.

 

I had to feed the baby so she and I headed back to the car and Noni took the big girls into the corn maze!

 

They figured out a better way to get through the maze this year! 

 

They were bursting with excitement to tell me all about it once I found them at the playground. 

Next we went on the train ride around the fields.

And then the girls did the little train.

After that the big three headed to the peddle car track while Noni took Peaches to the slide.

Lou really wanted to move and was so happy when I let her down on the ground.

Thankfully we hit the last really nice day of Fall! It was in the 60's this day, and the next day dropped to 50, never to return.

Noni took Peaches down the slide 10 times! This thing is huge so that is a lot of climbing!

We had lunch, played some more, picked our pumpkins, got pumpkin and huckleberry donuts, and then called it a day.
