All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth

 The song is true for Boo this year! We have a little toothless wonder!

 

It’s been loose for months, but last week it got really loose. She wiggled it all day and it was sticking out at a crooked angle. She really wanted to get it out without Daddy having to pull it, and she jerked on it all day. Her gums were purple from all the wiggling and tugging, and it still wasn’t out when Daddy got home that evening. She was nervous but finally agreed to let him get it out. All it took was one quick twist. For some reason it bled A LOT (like dripping blood, eww!), and her gums were sore from the day, but we were glad it was out! 

Love the new smile! She lost the other front tooth back in August and it STILL hasn’t started to grow in so she might be toothless for a looooong time!

I had her sing the song for me the next day. I’ll try to get it uploaded on Blogger.

Dancing Girls

Peanut's preschool group was the first in the show! Unfortunately with their white/yellow costumes their faces got washed out so you can't see their adorable expressions. :(

Buggy's ballet was next.  There were 16 performances in the show and we had a girl in 10 of them!

Boo's jazz. SO cute.

The dance teachers had their work cut out for them figuring out the order of the show and giving each girl at least 2 dances to change. In previous years it's been us and one other family that does both dance classes, but this year there were 7 doubled up. Not only that but because of the different age groups of the two teachers' classes there were some girls in the 1st age group in ballet/hip hop but the 2nd age group in tap/jazz...but not all!  They said it took color coded cards and a whole evening to get the puzzle figured out, but everything turned out beautifully and everyone had enough time to change and get back on stage. The teachers do an amazing job!

Peanut's second video turned out a little better because I figured out how to get my phone to dim a bit.

Bug did a great job with her dances! You can tell she's been doing this for a few years now!

And I got these a little out of order. Boo's hip hop was actually the last number in the show...

 

Here's Buggy's hip hop. She did this routine again on Saturday at the local high school basketball game.

Bug's jazz routine is on T's phone so I need to get it off and get it uploaded. It's the only one missing here. I am so proud of our dancing girls! They did a great job and worked hard!

Dance Recital

The girls had their big dance recital on Sunday! It was all I hoped it would be! They did SUCH an amazing job!

It was Peanut’s first recital and she went up on that stage and performed like she’d done it a million times before (front left).

Everyone said the preschool class stole the show. They were ADORABLE.

Silly face! (The poor little girl next to Peanut lost her halo and was crying for most of the dance).

I LOVE watching Bug do ballet. Our sporty girl turns into a graceful little swan when she gets out there. Look at her posture! She’s right…………………………………….here.

Love that extension! her long legs and arms are perfect for ballet!

I have been making them practice almost every day for the past month and it really paid off. They had great form and had their moves down!

Boo did an awesome job with her facial expressions! This was I’m Gettin’ Nothin’ For Christmas and this was her mad face. Love it.

SO cute! Her costume was adorable.

We figured out that any of the outfits that had white near their face made for bad pictures and video. The lights were SO bright that it was washing everything out.

Here’s Buggy’s hip hop group. They have so many girls in their classes this year! I guess word has gotten around that the new dance school is a hit!

I love how Buggy looks so happy when she does hip hop. You can tell she really enjoys it.

Boo sized ballerinas! She’s the one right in the middle.

She has really improved on her ballet form! It’s hard for the little ones to balance and have full extension, but she’s been practicing and is doing great!

Peanut’s second dance was just as adorable as the first. It’s really hard to see this picture, but I love when she did “shake that tree”. SO cute!

Boo had such great faces during her hip hop. Talk about attitude!

This was adorable…it was called the sledding song so near the end they lined up and got on the “sled”.

Then at the very end Boo led the group off the stage waving. So cute!

We are SO proud of our three dancers! They worked so hard and did an amazing job! I love the discipline and body control that dance teaches them. We are also so thankful for our amazing dance teachers! Miss A – who does ballet/hip hop. Peanut wanted a picture with her even though she won’t be in her class till next year. :)

What a fun dance session! It’s nice to have a break during the busy holiday season but we’ll be very ready to start up again in January!

Wordless Wednesday

The Tree

The girls were so excited to decorate the tree! Daddy made the hot cocoa, Bug turned on the Christmas music and we set to work.

Peanut is at one of my favorite ages for Christmas…when everything is still wondrous and over-the-top exciting. :)

They had fun putting “their” ornaments on the tree.

We had a visitor. He didn’t help much but added to the festive mood. :)

I am feeling so huge these days! Can’t wait for next year when we’ll have four little minions decorating the tree!

The last order of business is always the star. I think this might be the last year Daddy can hold all the kids to put it on!

His eye peeking out cracked me up…as did the giant T-Rex in the background. Haha!

And of course we had to get a funny picture with Rex before he headed outside for the rest of the season.

We’re ready for Christmas!

Little Performers

Our town’s kick-off to Christmas was a big success. It is a fundraiser for a local charity that they do every year. We headed down there at 5:15 to get some dinner.

After a few Christmas carols were sung to get the night started our church kids were the first big act.

Love that Boo, Peanut, and one other little boy are the only ones aware that I’m taking this picture…

Noni is the one who put together the Christmas choir and she’s been doing an amazing job with them! They all stood there and sang loudly and clearly. I was impressed she was able to get that many little wiggling bodies in order. :)

They sang just one of their songs. On the 20th they will be doing their whole performance: four songs and a little play.

Boo’s jazz group was up next. They were SO cute!

Their song is, “I’m Getting Nothin’ for Christmas”. It’s adorable.

Then I had to run Boo to the bathroom and quickly get her changed into her ballet costume. So pretty!

So sweet! I love how adorable the little ballerinas are.

Bug’s jazz was next.

They did the Beach Boy’s “Little St. Nick”. So fun!

And then I had to quickly get her changed so she could do her Hip Hop routine.

Love the attitude she produces in this song. They have to say, “What? What?” which is what she’s doing in the picture below. She nails it.

They did an awesome job!

It was the perfect warm up for the recital that was the following week.

And it was extra special because Grandma V and Grandpa J were able to come and see the girls perform!
