Swim Lessons!

 We were thankful to be able to do swim lessons this year! I got Peaches and Peanut signed up in their age groups and then the teacher let me tack Lou onto Peaches class as long as I was in the water with her so we wouldn't have to be there for another 45 minutes each day. 

 They were so excited on the first day!!

 

 

The littles class was first and then Peanut's class with two of her besties.

  

Peaches and Lou did well waiting while Peanut was in her class. I thought they would have a hard time sitting still but it was interesting enough for them to watch. :)

 

 Aunt K had bought this suit for Lou for her birthday and it is just too cute!!

 

 

I really liked this teacher because she actually taught them how to do the different swimming strokes! Here is Peanut doing the backstroke.

 

 

The little ones started to learn them, but Lou was mostly interested in bobbing in the pool. She wasn't too excited when I made her do the backfloat. :P

 

 

Peaches is such a joyful soul. Everything is so exciting to her. She was on cloud 9 and so happy during her lessons!

 

 

Lou and I worked on jumping in the pool while the bigger kids did it with the teacher.

Father's Day

 We had a pretty relaxed Father's Day! We went to church, came home and made paninis, and then Grandma and Grandpa came over and the guys worked on the old pickup. 

Our friends, the C family stopped in for one more night with us on their way out of town. Miss S had given Lou this dress when she was a baby and she finally fits in it. She was so happy when I put it on and kept saying to everyone, "Look my dress!"

 

 

She is not looking much like a baby anymore these days! :'(

 

 

Here she is with Miss S. She was too shy to stand close to her, but the next day when they left she kept hugging her goodbye. :)

 

 

I was under the impression that they were just going to be assessing the parts needed to get the pickup running again so I was really surprised when I went out and they had jimmy rigged it together to get the motor to turn over! 

 

 

I guess I shouldn't be surprised when Grandpa is at the helm! I think he could make just about anything run.

 

 

T said, "It's time to get out Lou." and she squealed, "No! I drive!" Haha.

 

 

We had dinner and of course some crazy playtime with Grandpa. Pretty sure he's getting squished in this picture. :P

 

 

We are so thankful for the amazing father's in our lives and especially our own wonderful, amazing, hard working Daddy! We love you Daddy!!!

 We were at a friend's house for dinner and she found this duck in the boys' room. She cracked me up when she gave a little shake of her head and said, "How weird!"

 

 

She had a snotty nose one day and had to stay home with Daddy while I took the rest to piano lessons. She wasn't too happy about it.

Leftover Thursday

 Miss A, our worship team leader, has been out for months due to a really bad bout of Covid. We've all been taking turns leading and since we needed extra singers some of the teenage girls have been helping out. Bug and Boo have both sang multiple times, and it's really fun to see them up there! 

 

 

I accidentally left the wipe warmer plugged in for weeks...maybe months...after Lou was potty trained. Eventually I unplugged it, but left it sitting there for another few months before we did the big rooms switch. When I finally moved it I opened the lid and found these very pretty but bizarre crystals had formed all over the top. So strange! It was very old anyway and the plug was brown instead of white, like it had gotten too hot at some point so I just tossed the whole thing. 

 

 

We had to take Jax to the vet for his yearly check up and he was super hot in the back so we rolled down all the windows. Peanut had so much fun with the wind blowing in her hair, haha! And in related news Jax is just over 100 pounds!!

 

 

Lou wanted to watch Go Dog Go, her absolute favorite TV show, so she went over and found a pillow and a blanket and got all snuggled in on the couch. There is only one season of the show and she has seen every episode probably a dozen times, but she still loves it and asks for it every day!

 

 

We have been having some CRAZY wind storms! I feel like we're living on the surface of another planet lately. During one of them the girls and I were playing a game at the kitchen table when we looked out the window to see the trampoline fly into the air, slam into our power poll, wrap around it like a taco, then finally let go, flip a couple of times, and land in the middle of the road! We ran down there and it was mangled beyond repair with springs rolling down the road. Bug and I dragged it up the driveway while Boo and Peanut ran around collecting the springs. 

 

Thankfully no one came by right then. I can't imagine what would have happened if it had landed on a car! I want to order another one, but I'm thinking I'd better not until we have time to dig a big hole. Grandpa had already welded one of the poles from a flying trip it took last summer. An in-ground trampoline seems to be our best bet.

Daddy's Helper

 I can't remember why but the other day Lou was home with Daddy while he was installing the laundry cabinets. He said she picked up his screwgun and started working. :) Just like her Daddy if she sees something done she can pick it up easily!

 

 

 I love her "Ooops! Sha-wee!"

He said she stood up and acted like she wanted to test the strength of them.

 

 

 *Grunt*

 

 

 

Good thing Daddy has such a good helper! ;)
