Mother's Day

 We had a very quiet Mother's Day as we were still under quarantine at the time. The girls "made" themselves breakfast. Haha. Works for me.

 

 

We did online church and then kept plugging along on the house. This was when we were still demoing and installing flooring so I was making trips back and forth with the tractor. The little ones love to ride with us on the tractor!!

 

 

We had lunch and then I got to open their sweet cards and presents.

 

 

 Peaches signs all her cards to me To Mooy right now. So funny.

 

 

She gives me cards all the time and is SO sweet and proud of each one.

 

 

Peanut got me a backpack purse I had wanted.

 

 

Boo got me a pretty blouse...in a shoebox.

 

 

 They tricked me because I needed new tennis shoes (mine had holes) so I thought there were going to be shoes in there, but it was the shirt. But they truly had gotten me the shoes and they separately wrapped each shoe. Haha.

 

 

Buggy's card said "Happy Birthday" on the front, and "Just kidding. Happy Mother's Day" on this inside. :P

 

 

She gave me a beautiful new watch!

 

 

So thankful for my sweet girls!!!

We got to do a fun Zoom with the fam! Thanks Aunt K for getting us all together!

 

 

And then it was back to the tractor after Lou went down for her nap. Peaches was my riding companion for the rest of the afternoon.

 

 

There ended up being a staffing emergency at work so T had to head to the hospital after dinner. The girls and I played a game of Catan and then I got them in bed. It was a sweet Mother's Day with my beautiful girls! 

Sunshine and Mud

 We have been having some amazing weather lately! I am loving it and loving that the girls are spending hours outside!! 

We used to have a stick hanging down right here, but of course someone was always getting whacked with it so I changed it out for the baby swing...which Peaches loves. Haha.

 The only bad part about outside playing is that it always ends in an extra bath. But I love that they are outside and digging in the dirt and using their imaginations so it's worth it! 

 

Lou knows how to turn on the water so nothing is safe! I took away the bucket one day when I didn't want her to get muddy and she took off her boot and used it as a container to transport the water. Haha.

They dug themselves a hole to soak their feet...or make stew. Hopefully not at the same time. Haha.

 

 

This one loves mud just as much as her sisters before her!

 

 

She doesn't like when I have to scrub her face to get the mud off, but thankfully she loves baths.

 

 

My only rule is that if they do mud they have to stay out for at least an hour to make it worth our while. This day she had only been out 10 minutes before wanting back in and was not happy when I told her she couldn't come in yet. :P 

We're looking forward to many more mud days this summer!!

Leftover Thursday

 Lou was outside playing in the dirt and when she came in she had something important to tell me. No idea what it was but she felt passionately about it! :P

 

 

Peaches got to go on a Daddy/Daughter Lowe's Date. I got this text when they'd only been gone for 30 minutes. "My date is kind of a dud." Haha.

 

 

Lou decided she was done with the high chair. It has been quite the messy endeavor. She is constantly taking food off her plate and placing it on the table, and now she is free to roam about, thereby also free to steal food off of other people's plates. Here is what I found one day after she "finished"...and I didn't serve wheat thins so I have no idea where those came from. :P

 

 

The girls gave poor Queso a bath. He's not a fan.

 

 

Buggy made this beautiful chocolate cake one day for fun.

 

 

So proud of her castle!

 

 

Boo has been practicing basketball twice a week in order to play on a YMCA team. Her coach has a half-court gym in the barn at her house so once a week they get to go there. They took a picture after practice when they got to see the barn kitties. :)

Birthday Fun! - Part 2

 We started our birthday evening as soon as Daddy got home from work. I was getting dinner on the table and looked over to see this.

 

 

"What?"

 

 

Bug's request, besides the pizza (thanks Noni!!), was that we all play the Farming Game.

And then wanted the camera flipped around so she could take pictures of herself. :P

 

 

We sang Happy Birthday...

 

 

And then all picked rock candy off the cake for an hour before finally eating slices. Haha.

 

 

Aunt J and Uncle K got her this really cool cactus jewelry holder for her room! So cute!!

 

 

We got her some new tennis shoes.

 

 

Uncle M and Auntie N got her fabric markers, and bags, and a t-shirt to draw on! 

Her big present this year was something we wanted to do last year but couldn't because of Covid. We want to start a tradition of a teenager trip when they turn 13 (in this case 14) with just Mom and Dad. We very rarely get two-on-one time with them since there are so many. Haha. 

Bug had been wanting to go to Mariner's game for a long time so we planned her trip around that. Daddy found a sweatshirt and hid the ticket papers in the pocket.

 She was super excited and spoiler alert...we had an amazing time!!! More about that later.

 

 

I can't believe how grown up this girl is getting! Time needs to slow down!!!

Thanks for all the sweet presents, and birthday wishes everyone! Even though we were stuck at home she had a wonderful day and felt very loved and celebrated!
