We have these little tablets that color the water for the bath. This particular day Peaches wanted to "do my colors all by myself!" so I handed her the bottle. Unfortunately she popped the lid off and a bunch of them went flying into the tub. It looked really pretty for about a minute until they all started swirling together and it ended up looking like they were taking a bath in Pepsi. :P

Speaking of baths...this little one loves baths! And for some reason she will stay seated a lot better in the sink than she does in the regular bath so sometimes I just give her a bath in the kitchen to avoid the hassle of the tub. :)

This day she figured out splashing. :)

The quail disappeared for a while, but then they came back in droves. It's hard to tell but there must have been at least 30 out there!

I got Subway for everone one day on the way home from church. It was just Lou and I in the Suburban and she was getting really fussy so I handed her a chip bag to crinkle. The baby mirror had been broken :( a few days before so I couldn't see her. I was suprised to get home and find that she had gotten the back open and was happily smacking away on BBQ Lays. Lol. She had the most pleased-with-herself look on her face. SO happy.

The tractor key apparently dropped out of Daddy's pocket one day and Lou found it.

Better be careful Daddy...I'll figure out how to get these keys to work and be off! :)

Train Museum!

I have been meaning to take the girls to the nearby train museum literally all summer. It was starting to turn cold so I knew I'd better do it now before the snow really starts flying. I texted Noni and Mama that morning and asked if they wanted to go. They were already out and about and up for an adventure so we met for lunch and then headed over there. I couldn't believe how much fun the girls had!

The museum is still in it's first phases, and has lots of plans for expansion, but the girls enjoyed it as is. They have the last remaining street car from the city. The girls had fun pretending to take tickets and go for a ride.

Peanut found a free hat and wore it everywhere.

As part of the fare you get to take two loops around a 2 gauge track which means the track is two feet wide. They made little train cars on top of old mining carts. It was quite bumpy, no shock absorbers, but of course the girls loved it!

You can walk all around the train yard...they are huge up close!

And they have four cars that they've turned into mini-museums.

The girls loved seeing the dining car set up with tables, and the sleeper cars with the beds all made out.

I think they could have stayed and played with the wooden train set for hours, but I needed to get home to feed the baby so after about 30 minutes I made them call it quits.

I was really impressed with the museum and all the nice workers. Even though it's not finished it was really fun and the girls loved it!

Field Trip!

It finally happened! Bug got to meet one of her teachers! From the luck of the draw she has never, in seven years with K12, been able to meet one of her teachers. They have all lived too far away. This was especially difficult for her last year as both Peanut and Boo had close teachers who we saw multiple times and who even came to their dance recitals! So you can imagine Bug's excitement when she learned she finally got a teacher on our side of the state!

Her teacher planned a field trip, and we didn't hear about it until that week. It was only for 5th-8th grade, so I knew I wouldn't be able to take everyone, but Noni sweetly agreed to take Bug. Bug, in turn, graciously invited Boo to come and got special permission from her teacher since Boo is only in 4th grade.

Noni sent me pictures and it looked like they had a blast!
