Noni had to work on her birthday so we went ahead and did school, but then headed in for a late lunch. We picked up her, Papa, and Mama and drove into town to Red Robin, her favorite.
I don't think I've mentioned that Peaches has finally fallen in love with food! Baby food that is. Boo and Peanut both hated baby food and only wanted what we were eating so I have been surprised to discover that while Peaches gags on "big people food" she LOVES baby food!

I bought this sign from Auntie Nae who is selling them at an adorable little craft store in a nearby town. So cute!
We had a delicious lunch and then headed back. I stopped and got some groceries while they took the girls back to their house. Then I fed Peaches when we got back and we watched Noni open her presents before we left.
I say "watched" but I think the girls probably opened more that watched. Haha :)
It was a fast day but we had a lot of fun and I'm glad we were able to spend some time with Noni on her birthday!
One of my favorite days of the year...dance recital! I absolutely love watching my beautiful girls up there on the stage dancing their hearts out! Love it!
The pre-show usually feels like utter chaos, but it actually wasn't too bad this year. They had the pictures/rehearsals nicely scheduled so I was only running around with one kid at a time. Haha :)
Buggy had to be there first at 1:45. She is looking SO grown up and beautiful these days! I could hardly believe it was my daughter up there on the stage!
The girls practiced first and got dark smudges on their tights from the stage. Miss A was trying to get them off before their pictures.
Buggy practiced all her dances and got two pictures taken and then she was able to relax and hang out for a bit before the show.
Boo had to be there at 2:45. We went through the same routine. Practice for dances, change twice and get two pictures taken.
Peanut had to be there at 3:45. Since she's only in one class she's a lot easier. One costume, one picture, two dances to practice on stage. Had to get a picture of her with her little bestie. :)

I didn't know if Peaches would be happy to sit there for an hour, but she LOVED the show! She sat with Grandma and Grandpa and every time I looked at her she was mesmerized with the girls on stage. She did get a little loud between acts, but when the curtains opened she loved all the lights and movement and glitter!
There were 10 dances and the girls were in 8 of them. Peanut's preschool group was adorable of course!
She didn't smile as much this time. She was FOCUSED. Haha! :)
There was a part where they were supposed to tap their nose, and Peanut looked like she was hitting herself hard enough to hurt! :P

Buggy did an AMAZING job! She kept a smile on her face through all four dances and looked like she was having so much fun up there! I loved watching her!!!

Boo will move up a class next year. Since she is one of the oldest and tallest she was in the back row for every dance which made it really hard to see her! :( She looked beautiful and did a great job though. I noticed some of the girls in the front row turning around to look at her to figure out the next moves.

The grand finale of the evening was another performance by the "Elite" dance team. Haha! :)
I love that these dads can cut loose and be silly for their girls!!! SO funny!!! They did a Bruno Mars song...which I've never heard of. It probably was even more funny for people who know the song, but they dressed up and put on the "bling" and had the moves! I didn't get a good video of it, but I "shared" someone else's on Facebook. T is the one in the white hat. :}
Funny guys! I wonder what they will come up with next!

We are so blessed to have these amazing dance teachers who put on such a professional dance school and show. They are AWESOME!
We headed back to the house after the show and had dinner. Since Noni's birthday was the next day I made a cake and we sang to her.
What a wonderful night! We are so proud of our little dancers! And the big one too. Haha :)
Thanksgiving weekend is always our town's celebration and kick-off to Christmas. The girls were part of 6 performances this year! 7 if you include going up on stage to hear the Christmas story from one of the local Pastors. :)

We arrived at the beginning and got dinner before the show started. Noni kept Peaches happy while I ran around making sure the girls were where they were supposed to be, in the costume they were supposed to be in, at the right time.

Noni taught some of the kids two Christmas songs and they did an awesome job singing them!

Bug, Boo, and I also sang as part of the church choir...it was a funny skit/song. I'll have to see if I can get someone to video it for us when we do it for the church performance because it's hilarious!
What a fun night and a great kick-off to the Christmas season!
