Chuck E. Cheese

 The girls had a teacher meeting day in March. They still had to do school, but had no class connects which meant that we had a sort-of free day! They got their work done early and we headed to town for some FUN!

 It seems like it has been so long since we've gotten to do anything fun like this. In past years we have had a day every week, usually Friday, with no class connects, but in 8th grade Bug has class connects every single day so it is really hard to take any time off. 

I decided Chuck E. Cheese would be a good place to have some fun, and this location is always super clean and empty during school hours. 

Of course we had to wear masks, but we were up for the challenge.

 

 

It was totally empty when we got there. I think two other families came later, but it was easy enough to stay distanced.

 

 

 

Lou was not sure what to think at first. She wanted to go on rides, but only lasted a few seconds before wanting off. She had a somber, inquisitive look on her face for the first full hour.

 

Noni helped her get into it by playing a game of throwing the balls in the alien's mouths. Haha.

 

 

The other girls love Chuck E. Cheese and had a blast running around playing all the games. We had a great coupon that gave them 50 play points each, and we used our old bracelets so that each of them could have one.

 

 

Bug and Boo spent lots of their points on Skee Ball and wracked up some pretty good tickets.

Lou started getting into the rides, but was happy to just sit in them without making them go. 

 

 

Here she is "playing" the red side while Noni and Peaches played the blue.

 

 

Eventually she started wanting the rides to move so the big girls shared some of their points with her.

 

 

She figured out quickly that you had to swipe the bracelet to make things happen. I took this right after she put her wrist up to the card reader (like she saw sisters do) but she wasn't even wearing a bracelet. Haha.

 

 

They love this feed the pig game.

 

 

Time out for pizza!

 

 Bug and Boo loved this clown game and did it so much Bug's arm was sore for days! Haha.

 

 

They used up their points and we still had time so Noni sweetly bought them some more.

By the end Lou was really getting into it and having all sorts of fun!

 We spent a little over two hours there before Noni took the smaller three home. The big girls and I headed to their orthodontics appt. where they got free frozen yogurt after their checkups!
