Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving long-weekend! It didn't really feel like Thanksgiving. For one thing it was warm. Like upper 50's and not seasonal feeling at all, and for two, part of the family was missing. 

Uncle B had to go to Europe for work so Auntie M and Cousins S&E stayed home rather than make the long drive by themselves. It didn't quite feel like Thanksgiving without them, but we still had lots of fun.

Kenzie showed up wearing a shirt that I just happened to have in the diaper bag for Peaches! I told her it used to be Bug's and the other was Boo's and she wasn't too sure about that. She told me, "I need to go talk to my mom." Haha.

Peaches warmed up a little and looked at magazines with Uncle W.

 

And checked out stuff outside with Auntie Nae.

 

She wasn't too sure about the Thanksgiving foods. I think she ate a little mashed potatoes, but mostly a roll...or two. :P

Everybody else loved it though! Too bad this is a little blurry because the face is classic Peanut.

Bug and Boo had made a beautiful apple pie complete with a rose at Noni's house the day before. It was seriously one of the best ones I've ever tasted! Great job girls!

We played some board games.

And did some crafts.

Grandma had all the stuff for making Christmas garland.

Friday morning we headed out for Black Friday shopping and Grandpa volunteered to watch the kids all by himself! We took destructo-the-magnificent with us and she was pleased as punch to have all the adult attention.

We stayed out shopping as long as possible and she was getting super tired on the way back.

She was being SO silly trying to keep herself awake!

Later that day Grandma let the girls try on old prom dresses. She has a closet full of them.

I'm not sure who's this one was, but she has several of mine including my bridesmaid dress from Uncle B and Auntie M's wedding!

Peaches tried some apple pie the day after Thanksgiving and found it quite delightful. Haha! :)

Grandma, Grandpa, T, and I squished onto the couch to watch a "show" where the girls did all their recital dances for us...and some pushups as well. Even Peaches got in on the action.
