Busy Girls!

 The littles seem to have reached a higher level of energy output lately. It's an exhausting but hilarious stage. Most nights before bed we have to have some dance time to get their wiggles out. We're also working on what moves are appropriate or not. :P

Porch Time

 I am so thankful that the sunshine is back! The weeks on end of fog and gloom in the winter can definitely get a person down! Our porch is the perfect place to catch some Spring sunshine. I think Peanut took these pictures.

 

 

And then I grabbed a video...these two did this for about twenty minutes straight. Up and down the stairs, same routine every time. Haha.

Wordless Wednesday

 

Happy Birthday Daddy!

 Grandma had a frozen turkey and T said that sounded like a good birthday dinner to him so we had a mock Thanksgiving dinner. It seemed funny to eat it in February but it was really good! Then it was time for presents. Daddy got his old Ford truck...Lego version, some puzzles, a back massager, puzzle trays from Noni, Papa, and Mama, and cool guide tool from Grandma and Grandpa!

 

 

Lou had to "help" open the presents. :P

 

 

Peanut made Daddy a cute card to go with her present. It was three peas and it said Ha-PEA Birthday. :)

 

 

She also helped me make a scavenger hunt for Daddy's last gift. It took him to the piano...

And finally the living room. And then he had to figure out the clues...a baseball game with his dad and brother!

 

 

Peanut had made a big apple crisp earlier that day and Grandma and Grandpa bought vanilla ice cream which we all enjoyed after singing. :) It was a very mellow, but wonderful celebration!

 

 

The next morning after another one of Grandpa's great breakfasts we headed to town because Bug and Boo were performing in their first dance competition! They had to get their makeup done.

 

 

And then they were ready to go! Beautiful girls!!!

 

 

 

We were not allowed to take pictures or videos during the performances but they did an AMAZING job and it was so fun to watch them! They have only had about half the classes of the other girls because they didn't join until November and then we were quarantined for several weeks, but it sure didn't show! Bug even had a solo at the very beginning and she nailed it! Their group got 2nd place in their category! We are very proud of our awesome dancers!

Weekend at Grandmas and Grandpas!

 We got to spend Daddy's birthday weekend at Grandma and Grandpas! We hadn't been since Thanksgiving so the girls had a wonderful time rediscovering all the toys and playing with their cousins!

 

I couldn't find Lou's pack and play so she got to sleep in the bunk beds for the first time! Of course she loved it!! But was so excited she couldn't go to sleep. The first night I finally went to bed at 10:30 and she was still awake! But thankfully being quiet by that point and I think she fell asleep soon after. Peaches fell asleep about 10:20. :P

 

 

 And then the little stinkers were up at 6:30! Thankfully they did pretty well that day and were happy even with so little sleep. :P

 

 

Grandpa made us a delicious breakfast and then the cousins joined us for the day! 

 

 

They played a lot of "family". They made Cousin K be the mom and after an hour or so she looked and me and said, "Man! It's hard to have kids!" Haha!

 

 

Meanwhile the guys spent the entire day in the shop having a grand old time! Last summer T's friend gave him this old car shell. Grandpa used to have one of these (in it's prime!) and they have a goal of fixing this one up to look like it. It's going to take a lot work! But they will have fun doing it. :)

It was super nice and sunny out so the kids and I spent some time outside.

 

 

 Once it got dark they continued the fun inside. Sardines was the cause of this funny picture! I can't believe they got all seven of them in there!

 

 

Then it was time to celebrate Daddy!

Noni sent me this short clip when we were in Arizona...crazy girls! 

 

 

 

I think it is so interesting to watch Buddy eat! But he does not like an audience. He will generally only eat with Peanut in the room so she took this video.

 

 

We had to go to Petco one day to get Buddy's crickets. He is supposed to have them every couple of weeks and it had been well over a month. :{ Lou made friends with this funny little ferret!

 

 

And Buddy was very happy to get his favorite treat when we got home!
