Sledding!

The girls wanted to try out their sleds from the Texas family right away! They were so excited and Papa and Noni let them go down the steep driveway even though that meant for a very slick drive later!

 

 

It worked perfectly and once they got the snow packed down they were flying down that hill! 

 

 

 

Apparently Peanut had just crashed...

This was on Peaches wish list..."Go sledding at Noni's!" so she was living the dream!

 

 

And she was REALLY good at maneuvering the sled! She would hop on and steer it using the rope or dragging her hand to one side or the other. It was quite impressive! 

 

 

Daddy had to give them some help before the snow got packed down.

 

 

Papa even joined in the fun!

 

 

Lou got lots of rides back up the hill. :)

 

 

But she walked some too and got good and tired out...so much so that she ended up taking a 4.5 hour nap!! 

 

 

Noni got the better videos when they went out a second time later in the day. Mine aren't great, but I did get a few funny ones. This one is sideways. :P

 

 

When they went out the second time they were shooting all the way past the end of Mama's house!

 

 

SO happy!

 

 

I think this will go down as one of the best Christmas gifts ever! They had  SO much fun!!!

Funny Friday - Teenager Edition

 I saw this list on Facebook and screenshotted all the ones Bug does...which was all but a couple. When I showed them to her she was shocked, "How did they know I do that?!" Haha! We got a pretty good laugh out of it.

More Christmas

 We had some of Noni's new recipe...blueberry french toast for breakfast and they had a game of catch before passing out the rest of the presents.

 

 

Daddy and the girls went nuts and bought tons of presents for me! They got me several new faux flower arrangements...some for every season so I can change them out! A sweater, a cute top, earbuds, a mixer, a clip on pot strainer, a belt, new whisks, and probably more I can't remember!

 

 

Noni and Papa bought all of us girls Turbies for our hair! I've been wanting to try them!

 

 

So cute!

 

 

 They also gave the girls a gift card to Chuck E. Cheese!

 

 

And they got them metal slinkys...which the girls didn't even know were supposed to be metal because they've only seen plastic ones. :P

 

 

We gave the girls their traditional new books.

 

 

The Texas family went together and got the girls sleds! We spent hours that day sledding but I'll have to post those pictures separately.

 

 

They also got the girls a really nice Volleyball/Badminton set! They can't wait to set it up!

 

 

Mama got them two big sets of Magnatiles! They had played with them at their cousins and loved them!

 

 

I only did one big present for T this year and it was down in the shop...a right fender for his old Ford. One of his friends helped me track it down and then Papa ordered it and stored it for me so we could surprise him! He was very happy...and can't wait for his shop to get built so he can really start tearing apart the Ford and putting it back together!

 

 

 

Papa gave the girls a fun gift and taught them about an old tradition of people giving their kid's a button and piece of string for Christmas. He showed them how to put it together to make a simple toy...so neat!

 

 

We spent the rest of the day playing games and checking out all the new toys.

 

 

The girls love Pop-its and I found these games you can play with them!

They built lots of Magnatiles creations...these things are very cool!

 

 

What a wonderful Christmas!!! Thank you for making our holiday so special Noni and Papa! 

Merry Christmas!

 We are not early birds on Christmas morning. The girls woke up around  8 and we had a present waiting for the little ones to keep them in the room...Color Wonders.

 

 

We got Mama up to the house and then we were ready for them to come out! Lou decided she didn't want to be told to come down the hall and started bawling. I think part of it was she still wasn't feeling great.

 

 

 The girls had been asking for Squishmallows!

 

 

Lou didn't want anything to do with them right then. :P

  

  

Here is what they were looking at...they are super soft. Like a stuffed animal/pillow.

 

 

It took them a minute to figure out the other part of the present...Bug realized it first.

 

 

Daddy found a really fancy air hockey table on Craig's List! And bought a piece of wood for the top so it can also be a ping pong table!

 

 

 Love these sweet kiddos!

 

Stockings were up next.

 

 

Lou wanted to show Noni every little thing she got. :)

 

 

We did all our usuals: gum, art supplies, electric toothbrushes, toothpaste, flossers, candy, PlayDoh, chapstick, etc.

 

 

Bug asked for an adult Dot to Dot book. I found a logic puzzle book for Boo, and a Bible Crossword for kids for Peanut.

 

Abby got a pig's ear from us. :)

 

 

Bug got some new makeup.

 

 

Everyone was very happy with all their gifts! And we still had lots more to go!
