Another year of dance has already come and gone. Dance recital is one of my favorite days of the year. It's right up there with Christmas. It makes me SO happy to watch my beautiful girls up on that stage! They blow me away with their talent, charisma, and love for God shining out! Love. It.
Noni was the helper at the first show for Peanut's age group so she sent me a couple of pictures.
Peanut's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. G, actually came to her show! She was SOO happy!
And Boo's teacher came too! What sweet teachers to drive out to see them!!!

I loved Buggy's ballet! It was about beauty coming from ashes so they had long, gray, silk fabric that they used as the "ashes".
And at the end did a quick switch, pulling roses out from behind the curtain...beauty from ashes. So pretty!
Boo's hip hop was awesome. Fun and upbeat...it was to Everybody Dance Now.
And they even did the "floss" move during it. Haha!
Buggy rocked out on her hip hop too. Loved it.
She is the youngest...I think all the others are in high school. She'll get to do pointe next year!
Boo's tap was The Fireman by George Strait.
Peanut had some major attitude during her hip hop. Boo's teacher was sitting next to me and told me, "Love her sass!"
Bug's tap was Fireball and the routine was really great!
She did such a great job smiling the whole time! She told me later that she didn't have to try to smile...that these were her favorite of all the dances she's ever done!
Peanut did a great job on her ballet...you can see she has great foot positioning.
Boo's jazz was Goodness Gracious Great Balls of fire and during part of it they had one girl pretend to be the piano while the other girl "played" on her back. So cute!
Bug's jazz ended with a stunt and she got to be on the top!
Peanut's tap was Walkin' On Sunshine. Love that song!
Boo's ballet was a song about fireflies so they got to wear wings! It was so pretty to watch them "flitting" about the stage!
The Dad's had another hit performance! Such good sports. ;)
As usual my face hurt afterwards from smiling so big while I watched them. SOO proud of my beautiful girls!!

And the amazing Miss L! We are so thankful that these wonderful ladies make dance possible for our girls! They are gifted teachers and we adore them!
Well we can't seem to decide on a nickname for baby girl so I think strictly for blog purposes I am going to call her "Lou". Yes that seems like an odd choice, haha, but I use a shortened version of her name and add Lou to it so it works. :)
T asked his parents for one this for his birthday...help getting started on the basement shower project. Grandma and Grandpa came over that weekend and the guys worked downstairs for most of the day.
Grandma taught the girls a new card game and got in some baby snuggles. :)

The guys first put up the waterproof backing.
And then started tiling. Little did I know this would be such a huge project! I looked at dozens of tiles and just couldn't find anything I liked, so I decided to just go with a simple subway tile. Simple so I thought. Because we planned to use dark gray grout T had to be super meticulous. He spent an hour or two every night for two weeks working on it.
Then once that was done he spent his nights filling in the cracks with the grout and cleaning it perfectly.
I am so thankful for all his hard work though because it turned out beautifully! I love it!
And I'm especially going to love not sharing our shower with the girls and finding my shampoo and conditioner squirted out all over the tub. ;)
