Happy Birthday Daddy!

T had to work on his birthday and it was also a dance day so the Sunday before, we went town after church and went out to lunch of his choice and then to Lowes, of course. Haha.

On his actual birthday he had to be at work at 7:30 so our only morning celebration was me telling him a quick happy birthday at 6:30 while I headed back to bed after feeding the baby and he headed to the shower. :P Buggy got permission to skip her noon class connect so we could go out to lunch so that was nice.

Since it was a dance day we celebrated in waves. He opened his cards while we ate dinner. Boo was at dance.

And we sang happy birthday.

Peaches had a cold so we did not want her blowing on the apple crisp. Haha. :P

We ate the dessert when Boo got back and Buggy was gone (she got some before she left).

And we waited until Buggy got back at 8:15 to do the presents.

I loved Peaches expression of excitement even though she has no idea what this tool is or does. Lol.

Daddy got tools, tools, and more tools. Haha.

He had made me a great list this year so he got exactly what he wanted and I didn't have to stress about a present. :)

And we had to get a quick family picture before getting everyone in bed. We are so very thankful for the amazing daddy/husband we've been blessed with. He works so hard for our family at work all day and then comes home and works on the house all evening! He puts in the time, day after day, to lead this family in a Godly way. We are truly blessed!

Valentines

We got the girls a few Valentine's Day treats.

Daddy found little balls with surprise stuffed animals in them.

And I found them little boxes of chocolates.

And we can't forget our littlest Valentine!

We love this sweet girl so much!

T bought me this beautiful bouquet! So pretty! It brightened up the kitchen for over a week and gave me hope for Spring every time I looked at it!

I tried to be a little festive with lunch. :P

They liked my meager efforts.

They asked if they could make Valentine's cookies that afternoon and I agreed. It went well for the first half hour, but they ended up bickering and whining for most of the process. :( The was right after the first huge wave of winter weather...all their activities had been cancelled for snow and we'd left the house only 2 times in 10 days. I think we had all had a little too much togetherness at that point. The cookies turned out pretty much how we were feeling.

A good visual reminder that life is pretty messy sometimes...not pretty, not ideal, but it still tastes good and we can always find something to be thankful for. :)

Aunt Karen sent sweet valentines, stickers, and money. It made their day!
