I am LOVING 2!
Yes, she throws the (rare) tantrum, yes she makes messes like nobody’s business, yes she has accidents regularly causing me laundry on non-laundry days, yes she is into everything and yes she needs a bath after 50% of her meals, but I would not trade these days for ANYTHING! She is SO. STINKIN’. CUTE.

I love to just sit and watch her. She is SO determined, and particular, and focused, and BUSY, and hilarious, and sweet, and funny, and loving, and did I mention CUTE?!?

Love. Love. Love.

Yes these are just pictures, and not very good ones at that, of her walking into the house after she followed me outside in her pajamas when I went to put the trash out.
She is my little shadow these days. Everywhere I go I hear, “Come too Ma-ma!” or “Wait me! I comin’!”
When I am cooking she wants to be RIGHT next to me. She has a two-step stool and she drags it everywhere I am. I go to stir a pot on the stove…she drags her stool over and climbs up…by that time I am at the sink to rinse some vegetables…she drags her stool over and climbs up…by that time I’m at the refrigerator…so she abandons the stool and tries to climb IN the refrigerator…and on it goes.
I love the way she has to climb up on the potty herself and if I put her on she gets down, just to climb back on and say, “Do it self!” And the way she says, “I Big kid!” when she goes potty and the way she sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star when she washes her hands because that’s what they do on her potty movie.
I love the way she wakes up from her nap and gets SO excited EVERY DAY that it is snack and show time. She runs to the cupboard and picks a “nola-bah” or “wasiens!” or “fissy cackahs” and then runs back to the living room to watch, “Daniel Tie-gee!” (Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood) and the way she screams “YES PEAS!” every time Daniel asks, “Do you want to play make believe with me?”
I love how excited she gets when she sees Te (her lovey) and she squeezes the stuffing out of him.
I love the way she wants to wear certain things, and how she can pick out her own jammies before bed.
I love how she can go get her own shoes and half the time can get them on by herself.
I love the way she says, “Need zip!” every time I put her on coat because it’s impossible to wear a coat without zipping it. :)
I love the way she refers to herself in the third person. “A happy!” and “A need water.” and “A want get dessed.” (get dressed)
I love the way she greets me in the morning, “Hi Ma-ma! Seep good!” and the way she asks for songs at night, “Shee-sus!” (Jesus loves me) and “Lullaby!”
I love the way she clings to me when I pick her up and wraps her thin little arms around my neck and squeezes for all she’s worth.
I love to hear, “Luff oo!” when I blow her kisses as I leave her room at night.
In short I’m in love. And since I’ve done this twice before I know how fast this age/stage will go so I’m trying to treasure every moment.
And of course there are those moments that I want to pull my hair out and have my own tantrum at another HUGE and sometimes terrible mess that takes me four times as long to clean up as it did for her to make, but those frustrating moments are SO worth. One little grin can wipe it all away. One little snuggle. One little kiss.
Yes, I love 2.
