Funny Friday

I saw this minion picture and laughed out loud because Boo does a spot-on impersonation of this.  She sounds exactly like it!  The other day T was being silly and started doing a car alarm sequence…you know the different noise patterns they make.  And Boo busts out with a loud, “BEE-DO BEE-DO!”  It was hilarious!

This picture also reminded me of Boo!  She is definitely our little fashion diva!

So true…

For some reason I don’t exercise as much in summer.  You’d think it would be the opposite. I guess because we’re always on the go and when I do have a day at home I’m trying to get stuff done from being gone.  It’s must easier for me to exercise during winter when I have my nice and tidy schedule. :)

Leftover Thursday

I seem to have quite a few “leftover” pictures lately, so in no particular order…

Buggy holding the newest baby at church.

A picture one of T’s friends sent him of the guys’ hometown after the fires. So sad. :(

Noni and I ran to the mall to exchange something and the girls were really good so we let them ride in the hot dog cart.

I got some Jamberry nails from an online party and the girls and I spent an afternoon putting them on.  I like them for myself but they didn’t stay on the girls for more than a few hours.  Too bad, because they were SO cute!  I have no idea how it happens, but even nail polish won’t stay on them for more than 24 hours! 

We went out to lunch one Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa and poor Grandpa had a food thief sitting next to him!  He lost over half his meal to sticky little fingers! Haha :)

T and I went out to dinner and for a quick 9 holes at a little Par 3.

Boo Bear had some preview days for preschool and this was the outfit she choose for the first day. Our little girly-girl. :)

We went over to the school one evening so the girls could play on the equipment. T and the girls got into a swinging contest.

We have been having HOT weather lately and then one day an unpredicted storm whipped up really fast.  It was crazy!  I happened to be driving when it started and it was the worst storm I’ve ever driven through.  I actually pulled over at one point when I couldn’t see more than two feet in front of me.  The rain/hail was so loud it sounded like it was going to break the windshield glass at any second.  I had to drive through about two feet of standing water to get home and then we came upon a huge tree laying across the highway. Scary, but it did help put the fires out.

Okay, that’s enough randomness for one day. :)

Wordless Wednesday

Practicing for 2

I can’t believe our little Peanut is going to be two in just 10 days! Although I can because she has been practicing up for her “terrible two’s”. :) 

Actually she’s pretty good.  Which makes it even more surprising/funny when she hauls off with a fit. 

Sometimes when she doesn’t get what she wants she dramatically throws herself down on the ground and rolls about in agitation.  She doesn’t scream or cry she just makes a displease grunt/squeal to let you know she’s not happy. 

If we’re home and she does this I just put her in bed and let her work it out.  I got these pictures the other day.  She was turning somersaults and making her grunt/growl noise.  I thought it was funny how the noise meter gets louder till it’s completely full.

By then end she was just sitting there crying.  She definitely has a mind of her own!  After she stops crying I go in her room.  If she threw the fit for being mean to one of her sisters (or something like that) I’ll ask, “Are you ready to be nice now?” etc.  Sometimes when I go in she is not ready to give it up.  She’ll grunt at me and throw herself back on the mattress.  When she does that I quietly leave the room and close the door.  I go back in a few minutes later and try again. 

Some days it only takes once, other days we’ll repeat that 4 or 5 times until the “magic” number when I go in and right away she says, “Soh-wee Ma-ma! Soh-wee fit!”  Then we usually pray and ask God to help her remember not to hit (or pinch or whatever the case was).  So now after apologizing she has started asking, “Pway?” So cute. 

I think she’s learning.  She’s definitely more aware of her behavior and the fits seem to be getting shorter in duration.  If this is all we’ll have of the terrible two’s I’ll take it!  But I’m not holding my breath as 2 looms around the corner! :)

Splish Splash

Wow, I can’t seem to catch up on my blogging! These pictures are from almost two weeks ago.  Noni and I took the girls to a nearby water park to cool off while enjoying the hot weather!  And to make it extra fun we met up with some friends there!

All three of the girls are in heaven at the pool these days!  They would live in the pool if we’d let them!

We were there for four hours and they just motored around the pool and went down the slide and just generally had a wonderful time!

We’re even starting to get Peanut to do a little swimming action…with LOTS of help.  She wouldn’t let me do this during swim lessons…

The girls went up and down the slide about 50 times each.  Boo was even brave enough to start going on her own!  Noni and I took turns taking Peanut down and then would try to get her to “swim” back to the edge of the pool.

I think Peanut’s favorite part was the concession stand!  Whenever K or S don’t like something they hand it off to her like she’s a dog that will eat any and all scraps.  She doesn’t complain though.  Bonus treats!

The girls had a blast spending the day with Noni and their friends!  And look!  World record!  SIX kids looking at the camera AND smiling! 

Yay summer!

Pool Party!

After our busy day of parade fun we spent the afternoon relaxing.  Then we had a light dinner and got ready to go to the pool.  One of the girls’ friends had her birthday party there and they had rented out the whole thing.  They had SO MUCH fun! 

Peanut wanted to climb in and out and in and out.  This was when we were still within a week of potty training so I took her to the bathroom at least 6 times in the two hours we were there.  Haha :)

Bug and Boo are getting so comfortable in the water and splashed and swam all over the place!

Since this pool is a little deeper I got in so Peanut could have a little more freedom than the stairs.

She got this great one of Bug jumping off the diving board like a pro!  Love it!
