After getting the new carpet I took about a week to slowly return things to their homes. I had piled a bunch of stuff under the table and was pulling it out and putting it away one day when I heard a screeching. Peanut had decided to help me and somehow crawled UP on a chair that was pushed under the table. She was wedged in there tossing things off the chairs. Silly girl. Of course I had to grab a picture before rescuing her. :)

Notice the picture she was holding? Looks a lot like her! That is K at 9 months.
Another thing Peanut has discovered lately is climbing! She can now crawl up on the couch and anywhere we leave a “stepping stool”. When I was putting things back in the window seat she found the Cricut to be a great step stool. This is her grinning at me after I’d told her four times to not crawl up there!
Little stinker! Hopefully I can keep her off the furniture and keep her noggin’ free of bruises!
Yesterday I got to do something I’ve always wanted to do…have a freezer meal party! I love the concept of freezer meals, but the few recipes I’ve tried have been pretty bland so I was thrilled when one of my best friends from high school started doing Freezer Meal Workshops with Wildtree. Everything I’ve tried of theirs has tasted so good and has tons of flavor so I’m really excited to try all my meals. It also has the added bonus of being all natural. I’m always trying to cook healthier with less preservatives, etc. so that was a big selling feature for me!
It was a great group of 7 people and we had SO MUCH fun! My only regret was that I was I didn’t get to visit with each person, but I enjoyed the snatches of conversations. :)
The girls got to play with some friends upstairs while we created.
What a great way to cook…fun with friends, and you get meals for your freezer that you can just toss in the crockpot later! I loved it!! Here’s what I ended up with…

I have a little rhyme that I repeat to Peanut that ends with “you have no hair!” because she seems to be a bit follicly challenged at this point. Although it’s just par for the course for our kiddos! It seems like most kids have plenty of hair by the time they are one, but each of our girls have been slow-growing in that department. Here’s a recent picture of Peanut. She has one good patch of hair that sprouts out of the area that would be covered by a yamaka. We try to comb it forward so it looks like she has at least a little hair. :)
I looked up at what age the other two finally started growing hair. Here’s Boo around her 1st birthday. Not much hair, but at least she would still let me put a headband in; Peanut just rips them right off.
This is an expression we see a lot. Guess Peanut got it from her big sister. :)

This is K at 15 months, so she had even less than S.
This is one of the first pictures I found of her with her hair done. It was in February of 09’ so she was only about two and half months away from her 2nd birthday!
So the moral of this little tale is that I need to be more patient and wait for Peanut’s hair to grow in. I guess I shouldn’t complain. I already spend more time fixing the girls’ hair then my own. Once Peanut needs hers done it will probably be a ponytail every day for me! :)
