Leftover Thursday

 Peaches wanted to show me a new trick she learned to do. :)

 

 

Buggy got a job at Sonic! The hospital wasn't giving her enough hours so she has been on the hunt for something to supplement and Sonic hired her instantly! They love her and will take as many hours as she will give them. We went one day when she was on duty and the girls were SO excited when she brought us our order. :) 

 

 

I love how close these two are. We were at Lowes one night and Lou had to go to the bathroom so they were separated for all of eight minutes and this was their reaction when they found each other again. :) 

 

 

Bug came over one day and we brought up two of the chicks. Jax had never seen them before and was SO excited about it. He is always chasing birds so I could just imagine his brain going wild, "You caught some! You caught some!" Haha!

 

 

The girls are still loving the chicks and play with them every day. And they love the girls too. They always come running when we go in and they climb all over the girls trying to get a higher perch. 

 

 

Lou has been getting them to do "tricks". :)

Wordless Wednesday

 

Soccer Saturday!

 The soccer uniforms did not arrive in time for the first game so we wore last year's red ones, but they did arrive before the second game...good thing because that was also picture day! They are very pretty but they're white! White shirts, white shorts, white socks...lots of grass stains! :P Whoever picked them must not be the person who does laundry. Haha. I was actually glad that they arrived late and were fresh for pictures. :P

Our town has three teams of 4th/5th so Peaches' team had to wear pennys when playing another town team. Peaches had a great game and hustled hard! 

 

 

It was chilly, but not as bad as the first week. She got hot and took off her undershirt at half time. 

 

 

She had to play against one of her best friends! It's a bummer that they didn't get on the same team, but they had fun playing each other. 

 

 

Peaches scored a goal!! It was kind of funny because she booted the ball really hard but it bounced off the goalie so she started to turn away, thinking she didn't make it, but she had kicked it so hard that it ricocheted off the goalie and then hit her and bounced back in! Haha! Score! 

 

 

They won 8 to 1! Way to go team! 

 

 

The little sisters were playing on the sidelines. Love M's blanket...she looks like an astronaut. :) 

 

 

Noni was able to come to the games and took this picture. So proud of this girl! 

 

 

Lou's game was up next. All the kids love Boo and want to sit with her or have her pick them up. :)

 

 

 

Lou played hard and did great!

 

 

She had several tries at the goal and finally made one! 

 

 

Whoo hoo! 

 

 

 

It's funny how some kids are just naturally athletic. She definitely has spatial awareness or whatever that is that makes a kid good at sports.

They won their game 5 to 1, go Tigers! 

 

We headed over to Peanut's game. I only got this one picture. It's a lot harder to take pictures of her because her field is so big and she's so far away. I kept waiting for her to come closer so I could get a good picture, but she never did. She had some great touches, and they played hard but they ended up losing 2-3. 

 

 

I never know if I should make the big girls watch their sisters games because even though the little ones are at all of their games they definitely aren't watching, haha. They are more interested in the snacks and activities.

 

 

 

Everyone is loving soccer season though and having a great time! I think they would love for it to be longer, but 6 weeks is perfect in my opinion! More pictures to come! 

School Projects

 Lou did her 1st grade cube project and it made me kind of sad because I remember all the other girls doing the same one and she's my last first grader. :'( BUT I am so blessed to be home with these girls and get to share in all their elementary school moments! The assignment has changed a little over the years. Lou's was on inventors that made things for the kitchen.

The P.E. curriculum has changed too. Now they have little videos where you're supposed to follow along to learn how to do something. This day was Yoga poses and the girls thought it was SO funny that Jax appeared to be doing the move with them.  

 

 

Haha! 

 

 

Speaking of animals...Coco has had a fulfilling year in 4th grade. She's sat along with Peaches almost every day all year! 

 

 

Lou has apparently reached the squirmy phase of 1st grade. :P 

 

 

The big girls had their open house for next year and I got to see a few of Peanut's projects displayed. This is a Powerpoint she did on Flash Floods.  

 

 

And a dough map of Washington...impressive! 

 

 

The choir also sang a song during open house and did a great job! Peanut is on the very end and Boo played the piano.

 

 It's really hard to believe that another school year is almost over! I feel like this year went really fast!!

Leftover Thursday

 Our good friends the T family are home on furlough so Boo asked them to speak at chapel and I took the little ones up to see them. They did a fantastic job! And it was so fun to watch Boo up there leading things!

 

 

We sat through the elementary chapel but then I took the little ones and their daughter, G to the gym to play while they did the high school chapel. 

 

 

 I looked out the garage window one night and saw Smores living his best life. :)

 

 

We moved all our plants to the farmhouse 8 years ago, but this year a beautiful pink tulip popped up only this year! We had tulips around this Lenten Rose at the other house so I know it must have come over with it, I just don't know why it took 8 years for it to come up! I love tulips! I need to plant some this Fall so we can have more of these beautiful harbingers of Summer. 

 

I don't know how the girls got on the topic of arm wrestling one night at dinner, but Lou and Peaches both tried to beat Daddy...together. 

 

 

 

It was so funny.

Silly girls. We've been so busy with sports and drama club that all of us sitting down to dinner is getting to be a rare occasion. If we want to make it happen we have to eat at 7PM, but the end is in sight! Just one more week and we'll have free nights once again!
