Egg Hunt!

 It was chilly and rainy for our egg hunt but that didn't stop them from getting as many eggs as they could! Papa, Daddy, and Grandpa headed out to hide them, and then the kids got to come line up. Ready, set, go!

 

 

It's funny to see the progress on the place in the background each year. This year we have a shop!

And through all the farm implements. Haha.

 

 

They hid eggs in the shop this year!

 

 

Almost 2 acres is a lot of ground to cover! 

 

 

 

Lou found her big egg hidden in the ball cabinet.

 

 

 

Papa did a great job hiding in the side yard. I was helping Lou and walked right past several and had to backtrack.

 

 

So excited!

Papa tried to help them out, but Jax is still finding eggs around the place. He brings them to the yard, opens them with his teeth, and then eats the candy, haha. Sometimes he doesn't even break the egg!

 

 

After they came in they all gathered to sort out their loot.

 

 

It was an egg-stravaganza, haha.

Happy Easter! 

Easter - Part 2

 We got home to finish our Easter lunch prep and the girls showed off their kittens to Noni and Mama.

 

 

They are so cute!!

We give Nala tuna every now and then to reward her for being such a good little mama.

We had to get our family picture with all the kittens, haha.

 

 

Then it was time for lunch! F, Grandma, Grandpa, Noni, Papa, and Mama all got to join us! 

 

 

It started sprinkling but we still squeezed in our egg hunt. Then we spent the rest of the day relaxing by the fire.

 

 

With kitten snuggles of course. :)

 

 

 

It was a wonderful Easter!

Easter!

 When I bought these Easter baskets a few years ago I got an extra one because with as hard as these girls are on stuff I figured at least one would be broken by now. I was glad to have it this year since F joined us for our Easter festivities. Bug told me some of his favorites and I filled a basket for him. :)

 

 

When we woke up on Easter morning and opened the curtains Peaches gasped and said, "Look! God is shining down and saying 'Happy Easter' to us!" It looked even prettier in person.

 

 

We got the girls dressed and then let them open their baskets before church. Such a sweet innocent face...

 

 

...but this is the real one. Haha.

 

 

They got all the usual Easter things. New sandals, treats, and some clothes.

The big girls got beauty blenders inside their eggs. :)

 

 

Peaches made her first Easter dessert. She saw this idea online...an empty tomb with the "stone" rolled away.

 

 

She added these Lego Star Wars guards face down, very creative, haha.

 

 

We had a wonderful church service with a sweet Easter skit and song Noni put together for the kids.

 

 

Lou was the angel and popped out so fast with her halo straight up and down making us laugh.

 

 

Wonderful job kids!!

 

 

And our choir sang our second piece, I Know That My Redeemer Lives. 

 

 

What a wonderful celebration of Christ's sacrifice for us!
