Friends!

We have had a wonderful summer full of friends! There have been a couple of playdates...Bug had a friend spend the night. We had the P family over one night and had a blast even though it was smokey and we couldn't go outside. We had the W family over a couple of times. 

This night was the first time we set up the volleyball net that Aunt K, Aunt J and family got the girls for Christmas a couple years ago! We finally have a nice yard to put it in!

 

 

The sun was blinding but we still had fun. They wanted to play kids vs. parents. :)

Another day we let Boo's friend K spend the night and Bug's boyfriend F came over for the evening. They played volleyball before dinner.

 

 

And after dinner we played Backseat Drawing. It was really fun...for everyone except Lou who was too young to play so she was scowling. :P

 

 

It's like Pictionary except the person drawing doesn't get to see the card. Someone else does and then has to explain to them what to draw...pretty hilarious! 

 

 

Boo, K, Daddy, and I beat Bug, F, Peanut, and Peaches. :)

 

 

We sure have enjoyed these warm summer nights outside!!

Leftover Thursday

 We were on our trip on Peaches' re-birthday. We got home that evening in time for bed and had a bedtime snack of ice cream to celebrate her. We sang and let her blow out the candle and open her gift.

Noni made a little reading nook in the piano room! So cute!

 

 

 Noni bought them this fun new pool! They love it!

 

 

We had to go on our trip the day before Peanut went to summer camp so she stayed the night with Noni and Papa and Noni got her to her ride the next day. Here they are enjoying breakfast together. :)

Wordless Wednesday

 

Parade!

 Lou wanted to walk in the parade for the first time which meant it was my first time to walk in the parade too. :) We found them some hospital shirts and made them work...Peanuts tied up and Lou's was a dress. :)

 

 

We were fifth in line which was perfect because we got to turn around and watch almost all of the parade after we were done. 

 

 

Peaches carried her own bag of candy to throw and I carried Lou's and gave her handfuls to toss.

 

 

 

Peanut walked with the Drama Club with all her friends.

 

 

And then she joined us in watching the rest of the parade. 

 

 

It was a hot day so we went and ate lunch in the park to cool off after looking through all the booths. Another great town days! 

Chalk Contest!

 The girls were so excited that it was finally time for the annual town chalk contest! We met up with some friends and got to chalk-ing!

 

 

They had been practicing at home. 

 

 

Peanut definitely has some serious artistic talent! I am always impressed with her drawings and just the quality of her shading and color use. 

 

 

Lou made a bug tea party.

 

 

 

She worked very hard and spent a lot of time on her drawing. Peaches was going to do a tea party too but then went in another direction when we were there.

 

 

 Peanut's drawing turned out SO cute! I loved it!

 

 

So proud! 

 

 

And so chalky! Haha. I think she used four or five full pieces of chalk to do this pretty drawing.

And Peanut won her age division! No surprise there with her amazingly cute drawing!

Lake Days!

 We are loving the lake days this summer! They make me wish summer could last forever.

 

 

But since it can't we will soak up ever sun and water filled day that we can! 

 

 

Boo's friend K got to come with us this day. They had a wonderful time!
