Pool Party!

While the big girls were gone Peaches got invited to a birthday party. I was a little uneasy about taking the three little ones by myself, but it worked out fine. I just made Peanut and Peaches wear their life jackets unless they were in the zero entry part with me. 

When we got there Peaches saw her friends and went right in! 

Peanut, Lou, and I got settled and got Lou in her swimsuit. It was her first time swimming!

 

Shortly after we got there it was present time! And snacks. :) 

  

 

Peaches picked perler beads and Peanut picked a window art kit.

Lou enjoyed sitting with me in the zero entry pool. She splashed and kicked and played. One of my friends held her for a while so I could take Peaches down the slide. 

Once she started getting fussy I put her in her carseat and rocked her to sleep. Then I left her with Grandma R (A's grandma) and I took Peaches down the slide over and over again. I counted...we went 18 times! And Peanut went up and down the stairs/slide almost the entire time. She must have gone 50 times...not exaggerating!  

 

Lou only slept for 30ish minutes and the she and I sat in the kiddie part with Peaches who was being SO funny!

This cracked me up...she did it many times, plugging her nose every time. Haha!

Everyone but one family we knew left, but we stayed till the end. Thankfully the one family who stayed has a daughter Bug's age so she sweetly watched Peanut and Peaches for me for half an hour while I fed Lou in the locker room. 

Once I got back we had about 30 more minutes and they played and swam and splashed right up until it was time to close.

Peanut wants to go back for her birthday so we'll get to enjoy more slide and water fun soon!

Leftover Thursday

Wow I am way behind on these leftovers...

Peanut wanted to be a superhero one day so Bug made her up this outfit. :) 

She could fly through the air! :)

This was before the porch got fixed. She and Peaches play out there all the time.

She loves to dress up in costumes. :)

My friend B offered to take Peanut to swim lessons along with her girls the week of VBS. I was SO grateful because I knew there was no way I would be able to pack everyone up and drive 30 minutes to lessons and make the little ones miss their naps every day during VBS week...our busiest week of the summer. She texted me a couple of pictures. 

Peanut had a blast going to the lessons, and getting to ride in her friend's car all week. :)

The last day of VBS Noni took the girls to the pool. 

They had a great time of course!

She got her first tooth at 6 months and the second followed shortly thereafter. 

I thought this was hilarious. She looked like one of those masked Mexican wrestlers. 

Cooking 6 batches of sugar cookies for VBS. With the double ovens I was done in no time!

Sometimes the computer will give me some kind of failure warning when I'm uploading pictures. This day is was being way over-dramatic. Haha!

When Lou was cutting her first two teeth she started waking up at 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 in the morning for about 10 days. It was lovely. :P This particular morning I had calmed her down several times and she still kept waking up crying so I finally fed her and she conked against me. I let her sleep for about an hour and when she rolled over she had marks all over her face. Haha.

Just The Littles

We made SO much progress over the ten days the big girls were gone. After the base plates were on T built the little walls.

Peanut and Peaches helped every night.

And I figured out how to back wrap Lou so I could help too.

Then we spent the next couple nights getting the floor done.

 

T did all the insulation one afternoon while I took the girls to a birthday party.

And then the sheeting took a couple of hours on Saturday.

 

 And then it was already time to start building the walls!

The girls love to ride on the tractor with Daddy.

On Sunday afternoon I was able to help T frame while the little ones slept.

And then we brought out the Jumperoo once Lou woke up. It lasted for about half an hour.

And by the end of the weekend we had three of the outside walls done on the first section!

 

Here are a few more pictures from our ten days with just three kids. Peanut and Peaches spent a lot of time on the trampoline with the hose because it was hot!

  

And our biggest excitement was that Peanut found a frog! She named it Toady and they played and played and played with that poor frog!

She made him a nice little habitat. I'm not sure what kind of frog he is, but he kept burying himself in the dirt. They would think they lost him and would find him buried.

He had really cool golden eyes.

Peanut had voice lessons one day and Peaches, Lou, and I went for a walk while she was there.

Another day and another walk...I thought this was cute. :)

"Look Mom! I found the Word!"

 

Grandma and I agreed that Peaches was like that big white character on Bugs Bunny that would say, "I'm gonna love him, and squeeze him, and call him George!" She just about loved that poor frog to death. I lost count of how many times she dropped him. :P 

 

On our last night we worked till dinner time and then got cleaned up and in pjs and headed out for burgers and ice cream. 

We had some extra time before bed so we walked over to the local park.

It was Lou's first time in the swing and it was quite a hit! Haha!

Then it was back home for books in the new "house" before bed. Peaches had a jammie change because of all the ice cream and playground dirt on her others. Haha.

We missed our big girls so much, but we enjoyed the time with the littles too!
