I took this video the night of Halloween. I had just bought Peaches a new set of toothbrushes and she was so excited. When she started making them "talk" to each other I started videoing, and then she started brushing my stomach. What a goofball! We had been practicing her Awana verse that week and normally she would repeat after me, but that particular week every time I would try she would just say, "I can't say that!" So funny.
We have been promising the girls for nearly three years that they could have kitties as soon as we moved to the Farmhouse. Grandma and Grandpa had some that were half wild, but absolutely beautiful! They look like show cats, not barn cats! They started off with 11, but were down to these three. They caught them and brought them out one weekend.
The girls played with them that first day, but Peanut's ran off so we left the garage door cracked so it could get in (and away from the huge owl that lives in our tree). We thought that since they were the only 3 left of 11 that they must have figured out how to stay alive. Unfortunately after 48 hours there was no trace of them. I don't know if the owl got them or if they snuck off to the woodpile and are living happily in there. Hopefully it's the latter.
My friend's favorite kitty got run over so she was on the lookout for one. They had some neighbors who had four so she took one and brought us the other three. These ones had been living in a garage and had kids in the home so they were used to being handled by children. We locked them in the garage and let the girls go out and play with them every day.
Neither T or I have ever had a cat so we really have no idea what to do with them. Supposedly barn cats are pretty self-sufficient once they get big enough to defend themselves. Hopefully that is the case.

Peaches was with Noni when they first came, but she was happy to get in on the kitty-snuggling as soon as she arrived!
I am pre-posting this on November 1st....I'm really hoping I don't still look like this today and baby has already arrived, but I guess only time will tell! Haha! We took these pictures at the end of October.

Peaches would hardly stand still to get a picture, but Daddy managed to get a few.

The nearby Christian school was having a fall festival the night before Halloween. The girls had dance, but Peanut got done early enough that Noni was able to take her and Peaches.
They got face paint! Always a big hit!

They must have done the cake walk a bunch because they came home with three plates of cookies and a plate of cupcakes!
These were fine when they came home, but apparently Peaches found them at some point. Lol.
Since Halloween was on a Wednesday we only had a short window to Trick-Or-Treat before Awana started. Because of Awana I decided not to go to all the trouble of getting together a set of family costumes, and instead just let each one chose what they wanted to be.
We ended up with a butterfly, fairy princess, black cat, and a fox. We started getting ready early because all of them wanted face paint. All their costumes were very simple. Peanut's was just wings and black clothes, but she loved it! I looked on Pinterest for the butterfly face paint.
Boo's was just cat ears and tail and black clothes, but she looked adorable! Then I put on the face paint with cat eyeliner and she turned into a 16 year old! :P
Buggy found this fox sweatshirt on Amazon a couple of weeks ago and used some of her own money to get it because I didn't want to spend $25 on something she was only going to wear once. I guess I shouldn't have worried because she's been wearing it almost constantly since it arrived! It's really warm and fuzzy!
Grandma gave Peaches this costume for Christmas last year and it's been a little big, but it fits perfectly now! She loved it and was so excited to wear, "My costoooom!"

We made a quick stop at the hospital to pick up Daddy and say Happy Halloween to a few of the residents.
It was a little early to start trick-or-treating, but we only had an hour before Awana started so we went for it.
Peaches wasn't too sure about what was going on but she caught on quick and wanted to be the first one to knock on the doors!
She kept losing her wings so we finally took them off.

We had to stop and greet a few friends along the way!
The mayor always opens his garage and puts out a whole bunch of treats. We let the girls grab a cookie with their piece of candy and continued on our way.
Buggy is laughing here because Peaches stuck the cookie into her mouth in order to free up her hand to pick a piece of candy.

I always think this house is adorable.
The girls had a blast at Awana because it was very relaxed as there were only a handful of kids there. After it was over Peaches and I came home to get her ready for bed and T took the big three back out for a little more trick-or-treating. They came home and had to sort their loot. Our kitchen cabinets were in the process of being installed! I didn't even notice that baby snuck into this picture until I was editing. Haha!
