Leftover Thursday

The girls have gotten into Odd Squad lately, a math-based show on PBS. Boo made this giant juice box like the one Miss O had. 

Buggy was playing with Peaches the other day and I went in her room to find her like this. Not sure if this was a containment method or what but it was nice to have a few minutes of peace and quiet. Haha!

We went for a walk the other day and I had to get a picture of this beautiful tree when Peanut rode under it.

Peaches is doing much better on the sickness factor this year but she has still had several colds. Poor baby.

Wordless Wednesday

Trick-Or-Treat!

I love doing family costumes! All we were missing was the Tin Man. We had the "ruby red slippers" and the monkey costume so that's what made us go with the Wizard of Oz theme. The rest we bought on Amazon, and T's lion came from Walmart.

 

We had to get a picture with Grandma on her birthday!

  

Me and my flying monkey! I should have made my hands green, but even after hours of "drying" the face paint was still rubbing off on everything.

We sang happy birthday to Grandma before we headed out for trick-or-treating. Grandma and Grandpa stayed behind to man the door. They had 179 (I think?) trick-or-treaters!

By the end of the night she was actually saying it when we knocked on doors. It sounded like "tick-o-tet" and was so cute but I never got it on video even though I tried and tried. :P

 

We headed out just before the sun set, and had to visit one of our favorite neighbors! 

 

Her dog looked a little bit like Toto so I had Boo take a picture with her. :)

Peaches really got into it and was having a ball by the end of the night!

We stayed out for more than two hours and my Fitbit said we walked FIVE miles! Wow! My feet were definitely hurting by the end of the night but the girls did great!

I thought this house had cute pumpkins. :)

 

Bug wanted to keep trick-or-treating but the rest of us were ready to call it a night so we went home to sort candy. Boo actually wasn't feeling well, with a cold, and I think walking around in the cold night wasn't a good choice for her. It was warmer than previous years at 43 degrees, but it was still too much for her and she got really sick. She laid in bed for the next four days!

  

The flying monkey figured out how to snitch candy!! She would find a dropped candy and bite/pull on the end till the chocolate popped out!

 

They got quite a haul!

I'm super excited to move to the farmhouse, but for the first time felt sad when I thought of not being in this house next Halloween. We'll have to drive in next year and trick-or-treat our neighborhood.

Halloween is one of my favorite things in this little town because everyone is out and about, walking the streets, talking and visiting, kids everywhere, having a fun time, and being one big happy community. It's a really fun holiday in a small town. Thanks for manning our house Grandma and Grandpa and helping us have a Happy Halloween! Glad you had a Happy Birthday Grandma!

Pumpkin Bingo

Right before Halloween Noni took the girls to the annual pumpkin bingo at her school. They always have a great time and it's a good time to preview their costumes and make sure everything is working well!

They took a packed dinner this year instead of eating the pizza there.

They were SO excited when they won the prize for the family costume! A bingo set of their own!

They got to spend the night at Noni's and the next day they helped her rake leaves.

And climbed a few trees while they were at it. :)
