Spring Break! - Part 1

 Whew! Our Spring Break was busy! Sunday after church Boo and Peanut got to go spend the night at Noni's. We headed in Monday morning for piano lessons since we didn't have school. It was a sunny day, though not super warm, but the girls enjoyed playing outside between lessons and lunch.

 

 

Noni has her trampoline up so of course they had a blast on that. 

 

 

 We gave the girls a Spring Break present...a trampoline for our house! I think this picture was from Saturday because Bug left early Sunday morning for her mission trip.

 

 Boo got to have a sleepover with her best friend on Monday night.

 

 

 

And on Tuesday they had a friend come over for the day because his mom was on the mission trip and his dad was at work.

 

They had a ball and spent a lot almost the whole afternoon outside even though it wasn't very warm.

Wednesday the three middles got to go on a play date for four hours at their friend's house, and then Bug got home that evening. 

They jumped on the trampoline in any down time.

 

 

 Hooray for Spring Break! Now if we can just get some Spring weather! :P

 

 

Thursday we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for a few days...pictures from that tomorrow.

 

Easter Chicks

 Grandma and Grandpa got chickies! So of course we had to go visit them and take Easter pictures with some of the sweet babies! The girls loved them!

Leftover Thursday

 I found this one day.

 

 

Lou had a cold for about a week. She had said her ear hurt one day but I gave her some drops and she didn't mention it again. Then about four days later, when her cold was gone, she suddenly started saying her ear hurt again. 

 

 

I gave her the drops and a warm washcloth and she was okay for a couple hours until she all of the sudden started crying and wouldn't stop. Thankfully T was able to get her an appointment right away but even with Tylenol she was inconsolable. She cried most of the time we were in the waiting room and at the doctor and he checked her out and prescribed amoxicillin.

 

 

I gave her the two doses that day and she went to bed and slept all night without a peep, but her ear drum must have burst at some point in the night because there was dried blood in her ear and on her sheets when she woke up. :( :( :(  

 

I have successfully killed 5 out of my 6 succulents. I had one left that was actually really happy until Jax's tail swiped it off the stand and shattered it's little home. I'm definitely not going to be buying anymore of those. :P

 

 

 Peaches and Lou have been dressing up more lately. Peaches showed me all her "costume changes" after they'd been playing for a while.

 

 

Peanut got a big box from Noni and built Buddy a "playground" so he could get a fresh perspective. He spends a couple hours in there most days. We learned at the aquarium that they can run up to 9 mph! Buddy can move fast when he wants to, but that's not very often. :P

Ice Cream Night!

We had one of the favorite nights of the year at Awana...ice cream night! I got 9 gallons of ice cream, 4 bottles of chocolate syrup, 3 bottles of strawberry syrup, 6 cans of whipped cream, and 6 containers of sprinkles! And I think we used up most of it!

T&T was first.

 

 Then the Cubbies.

 

 

And then Sparks.

 

 

After they finished their ice cream they ran around playing games. I definitely couldn't do that on a full stomach of ice cream!

 

 

 Thankfully no one threw up this year! That has happened the last two years so I was happy. Lol.

 

 

I'd call that a successful ice cream night! :P

Aquarium

In our homeschool group each of us moms volunteered to organize one field trip for the year. Mine was a trip to the aquarium. It was supposed to be in January but then I had surgery and then February was taken up with Covid. It was hard to find a time that worked for everyone but finally on March 30th we made it!

 

 The big girls enjoyed hanging out with their friends more than seeing the animals. Haha.

 

 

Lou loved everything and ran around like crazy wanting to do everything and touch every animal!

 

But I think the pirate ship was where they spent the most time. They ran all over it and slid down the slide a dozen times.

 

 

These river fish were as big as Lou! 

Boo and Peanut both fed the Stingrays, but Peanut was upset that they knocked the food out of her hand and dropped it.

Peaches and Lou fed the tortoise. He seemed asleep but as soon as they waved the carrots in front of his face he moved pretty fast!

Lou had a hard time keeping the carrot in the tongs but he eventually got it. :)

 

 

 The girls had a lot of fun petting him!

The big girls fed these fish.

 

 

We also got to feed the birds...kind of. They had remodeled the whole bird room and maybe they got new birds as well because the times we've gone before the birds swarm everyone and land on people's arms, heads, shoulders, etc. They eat out of your hand and are all over the place. This time the birds stayed in their perches and refused to eat until the cup was literally placed in their face. Each of the girls got at least one of the birds to eat a few bites and then we gave up and left.
