Boise! - Part 3

 On Sunday they took us to a beach that is man-made at the bottom of a dam. It was a great beach with lots of sand to play on. It wasn't crowded either so it was nice!

 

 

The kids had a great time digging and playing.

 

 

The water was super cold so they didn't do too much swimming. Peaches walked in far enough to get squirted and ran back out squealing.

 

 

Uncle A set up a tent to give us a nice shady spot.

 

 

We had a picnic lunch and were joined by some very brave ducks! 

 

 

But not brave enough to eat out of Peanut's hand.

 

 

 

One of them kept inching closer and closer and when I turned my head he snatched Lou's leftover sandwich off the top of my water bottle! 

 Bug dug a deep hole.

 

 

"Lou smile for me!" ...

 

 

"Ptttt!"

 

 

Buggy needs to learn the old adage, "When you find yourself in too deep...stop digging." Haha.

Such a fun day!

Boise! - Part 2

The farm also had a petting zoo with all sorts of animals! We got the girls bags of food and they had a great time! 

 

 

This baby calf was so cute! You can see the thing in the background...it was a gigantic inflatable Dragon that was also a maze! The girls went through it several times and thought it was pretty cool and a little scary. 

 

 

It's fun to watch the little ones together. :) 

 Our next stop was the big slide! They spent a good fifteen minutes going up and down it. I was thankful to be there at Labor Day. I'm sure in October this place gets packed!

 

 

So fun!

 

 

 They had a Corn-box instead of a sandbox and the kids had a great time wallowing in the corn and burying each other. I found corn in the laundry and car weeks later. Haha.

 

 

Pause for a picture! We gained a family member. :) 

 

 

We split up and the Dads took the kids through the mini corn maze while the moms headed for the flower fields. You could buy flowers for a dollar a stem and Auntie K got some to make a bouquet for her table.

 

 

So pretty!

We couldn't believe how big some of the sunflowers were! 

Everyone was getting a bit hot and hungry at this point so we had to do a couple more things and then head out.

Boo is getting a little big for this type of thing. Haha. :)

 

 

The little ones wanted one last bouce so I took them there while Uncle A took Peanut, Boo, and M over to the rock mining. They were given a bag of dirt and had to sift through it. They came away with a bag of gems and rocks and Peanut said it was her favorite part of the whole day!

 

We all had a wonderful time and hope we get to go back next year!!

Boise! - Part 1

 For Labor Day we headed to Boise to see family! We picked Bug up early from school and headed out. 

Noni came with us and made the road trip a lot more fun! She printed out maps for the girls to color in license plates we saw.

 

 

I tried to covertly get this video when Peaches started singing along to the Aladdin movie they were watching. :)

 

 It's also handy to have Noni along when you fall asleep and your head keeps tipping forward. :)

 

 

The girls were so excited to see their (second) cousins! 

 

 

And super excited to play with all their toys, and show off their tricks for Noni. :)

 

 

On Saturday they fed us an amazing breakfast and took us to a really fun "Farm" that was so cool! It was way better than anything we have here...like all our pumpkin patch places put together and times five! Someone was selling puppies so we had to stop and pet them first. :)

 

 

And of course our animal lover managed to get one in her arms. :)

 

 

They had these awesome bouncy things...one side for little kids and one side for big kids. They all loved them!

 

 

Noni went with the big girls.

 

 

Another great thing about this place is that it wasn't crowded at all (I think it was the first day it was open), and it was spread out over several acres so we hardly had to interact with anyone other than employees.

 

 

They had a "Cow Train" which was ridden several times. :)

 

 

And this awesome ropes course! So fun!!

 

 

They also had apple cannons! You could buy buckets of apples and shoot them at the targets. All the kids...and the dads...loved it! :)

 

 They also had a spot where you could learn about Beekeeping and even feed bees!! Peaches and Bug both did that while the others were busy with other activities.

 

 

So brave!

More Lou Videos

 Boo videoed Daddy teaching Lou how to play Rock, Paper, Scissors one day at Mexican food. 

 

I love the way she "reads". So cute. 

 

She's not being especially pleasant here but it was the first day I had tried braided pigtails on her and they were so cute!

This is a new favorite game to play with Daddy when he gets home. Haha.
