Celebration Continues

After church we took the friends home, and then we went and got Mexican food, but we didn't make the birthday girls wear the sombreros. Haha. 

When we got home Grandma and Grandpa were there to help out on the house so we let the girls open their presents from them. 

They got three gifts each and were so excited! Boo was most curious about the can shaped present and discovered it was a Barrel of Monkeys!

Peaches got two games and a fuzzy puzzle!

She was slightly excited.

Haha!

Peaches was especially excited about Hi-Ho Cherri-o and wanted to play it right away.

Boo also got two Calico Critter sets! Wow! So many fun presents!

So much celebrating and we weren't even to their real birthday yet! :P Pictures from that to come!

Party #2 - Happy Birthday Boo!

After Peanut's party got over a little after 4:30 I did a quick clean up, reset the party games, and put Boo's cake on the table. Her guests started arriving at 5 and one of the first things she did was play A Whole New World for them on the piano. She has been practicing for months, but was so excited she could hardly play. 

Her friends were still very impressed though!

I didn't know if the older girls would enjoy the games as much, but they loved them! They just stood farther back to make it more of challenge and they played for nearly an hour!

I think Buggy made an impressive shot here.

We added "Chicken Fling" for the older ones. We bought rubber chickens that you use your fingers to slingshot forward. It was pretty funny!

Sweet birthday Jasmine-girl!

I forgot to have the little ones play our Aladdin version of the pin the tail on the donkey. It was pin the peacock feather on Jasmine's cape. :)

The older girls had fun with it.

We had Papa Murphy's pizza per the birthday girl's request.

Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday. Didn't Bug do an amazing job on the cake?!

The bottom layer of cake was lemon flavored and it was so good! Boo loves lemon things.

After cake she got to open her pile of presents!

She got three really cool Lego sets!

And some craft kits, and some adorable dance clothes for her big doll, including jazz shoes, ballet shoes, and tap shoes that actually have the little metal pieces on the heel and toe!

Lou loves bags and kept trying to steal them.

This picture was blurry, but it still made me happy because this was one of the first smiles we had seen in over a week since she had been so sick!

Funny girl.

Two of the girls went home after this, but four of them were able to spend the night! They were all so sweet and had a great time together. They watched the new live action Aladdin movie and then stayed up talking way too late. :P They all went to church with us the next morning. What a great group of girls!

Birthday party #2 was a big success as well!

Party #1 - Happy Birthday Peaches!

Months ago Boo and Peaches both begged to have their birthday party at home. I'm not sure why they wanted to so badly. I prefer to go somewhere...so much less work. :P But they finally talked me into it and agreed on the theme of Aladdin. I wasn't sure how to combine a preschool party and a tween party so I finally settled on back to back parties the same day. It was a crazy day, but it wasn't all that hard to "reset" the party after Peaches' guests left and before Boo's arrived. 

Peaches party was from 3-4:30 and she really wanted TEN guests. I'm not sure where she came up with that number, but we invited her friends from school (plus two siblings) and she got her ten guests. All of them showed up and she was SO excited that her friends were at her house!

Apparently I was so busy trying to run the party I forgot to take pictures! About halfway through I realized it and grabbed my phone, but I missed capturing most of the action. :{

 I should have come up with some clever Aladdin games, but instead I just bought a little carnival pack on Amazon and we had little stations with games. We had a ring toss...

And a game of keeping the balloons in the air.

 

We also had a bean bag toss which we did make a "cave of wonders" for. There was a ping pong bounce, and the favorite...the prize walk. They got tickets for completing each of the challenges and when they got five tickets they got to come get a prize. 

Bug, Boo, and Peanut all helped out by running a game and passing out the tickets. I think all the little ones had a lot of fun and they were happy with their prizes of Playdoh, squishies, stickers, and ring pops. :) 

 

Bug did a beautiful job on the cakes! She made a rectangle for Peaches and made a magic carpet out of fondant. Then she put the Barbie sized Aladdin and Jasmine on top. Peaches was so happy! 

Happy birthday to you...

She kind of had to go over the top to blow out the candles, but she got them all out!

Then it was time to open presents. You can see the cave of wonders behind the kids. I drew it on a box and Boo and Peanut painted it.

She got so many fun and sweet gifts from her friends!

Barbies, a mermaid set, a sticker book, an adorable outfit, and a bead set.

The kids were all so sweet and well-behaved! Everyone had a good time and no one got hurt so I'd say it was a successful preschool party!
