Labor Day Weekend

Peaches got to go with Noni and Mama to the pool when she was spending the night and the big girls were already at the farm. She didn't have a suit with her so Noni went to Walmart and bought her a new one. She looked so cute!

 

And skinny...she lost three pounds after her big puke-fest. :( It took her several weeks to gain it back.

I was glad she got to have some special fun with Noni because her sisters were off having a blast! They got to ride horses at Auntie Nae's house! Her nieces (on the other side) brought their horses over and let the girls ride. So sweet!

 

The Oregon cousins stopped by to see our house progress. Lou had fun being an only child for a bit...lots of attention. :)

  

We picked up Peaches and headed to the farm. I don't know who took this picture on my phone, but it's pretty darn cute!

 

All the girls went for a walk after dinner because the guys made a quick trip to town to look at a pickup for Uncle B.

Cousin S is quite the artist. She looks at photographs and draws from them. I had a picture of Abigail on my phone so she drew this.

 Another walk the second night.

We all got to go over to Auntie Nae's house for lunch and visiting on Sunday. The kids had a ball and it was so fun to see their house almost completed! 

Peanut and Peaches got to go up and do a little harvesting with Grandpa!

 Auntie M and Uncle B had brought a birthday present for Peanut and she was SOOO excited when she opened it...

So happy!! The girls have all been wanting a sewing machine (Bug especially) for years! 

It was pretty hot so we left the front door open and a bird flew in! And Buggy CAUGHT it with her bare hands! Pretty impressive!

Lou slept really good at the farm. I guess because it's nice and quiet and dark in the back room!

She had fun checking out all of Grandma's toys.

As usual it was hard to say goodbye! The girls didn't want to leave.

 

But after breakfast we packed up and headed out.

 

Cousin S showed Bug how to make watercolor type art with markers!

On the way home we stopped at Walmart and did some back to school shopping. We got a basket full of school supplies and then let the girls pick out a new outfit even though they have plenty of clothes. :) I had to send this picture to Noni because this dress reminded me SO much of one I remember my Mem-maw (great grandma) wearing when I was a little girl! Haha!

The girls voted for Panda and apparently Peanut was taking a few pics while I took Peaches to the bathroom. :P

It was a great way to spend our last few days before school started and it was nice to have a little break from the house!

Last Hurrah!

Well I had the brilliant idea of having a big last hurrah of summer at the waterpark knowing that all the Washington schools had started. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the Idaho schools hadn't started yet and apparently everyone else had the same brilliant idea. Lol. It ended up being the most crowded of any of the years we have gone! Whoops.

But backing up...we went on a Thursday. On Wednesday night we had an AWANA leaders meeting and someone had brought gluten free cupcakes made from almond flour. Peaches had a cupcake right before leaving to spend the night with Noni who was planning to go with us the next day. 

We're not positive about the "why", but apparently at 11:50 that night Peaches woke up and started throwing up! SO SORRY Noni!!! And even worse she threw up FIFTEEN times between then and 5 something AM. Ugh. I felt SO bad!  

She was feeling better by the time we planned to meet so we picked them up, and ran into a fast food place for breakfast and a potty break. Peaches wanted an applesauce, but after one bite and a little water she puked again in the car. :( Noni sweetly volunteered to take her home and miss out on the fun day. Peaches was so sad, but they went into Walmart and picked out a consolation toy and some Popsicles. She perked up for that. :)

 

We made it to the park at the perfect time because Auntie Nae and kiddos had just arrived as well. By the time we got inside it was time for me to feed Lou so we went and found a quiet...ish...spot and the rest headed for the train! 

 

T took three of the kids to wait in line for the bumper boats (which always takes forever) and Auntie Nae and I took the rest around to the various kiddie rides.

 

It looked like Peaches wasn't having too bad of a day from the pictures we got. :) 

The others finally got on the bumper boats so we went over to check it out. The girls all wanted to squirt them with the water cannons.

Poor Boo came drifting over...

And Buggy and some random girl were shooting her in the face with the water cannon! I felt so bad for her, yelled at Bug to stop, and fully expected her to start crying, but she was a champ and smiled once she could see again with water streaming down her glasses and face. :/

Meanwhile T was shooting some random guy in the ear and laughing about it. Like father like daughter I guess. :P

The kids hopped on a few more rides before we went to find a late lunch.

After lunch I waited with the two littlest while the rest went on the big family tube ride. I finally got Lou to sleep, but unfortunately it only lasted about half an hour.

After that Auntie Nae, the brave soul, took the bigger kids over to roller coaster alley and T and I took the little ones back to the kiddie rides.

I fed Lou again and then we met up with everyone else for a snack.

 

Then we headed to the waterpark. Sadly we also have a knack for picking literally the coldest day of the month every time we go! Which is great for the rides side of the park, but not so great for the waterpark. It had literally been in the 90's for weeks and this day we barely cleared 74. But they still went for it.

 

For a few minutes anyway. Peanut came and laid down on the towels, "It's too cold!"

  

But then they found lifejackets and the wave pool which was apparently pretty warm. They had a blast! 

  

Daddy took the two big girls on a bunch of water slides. 

And Lou got to crawl around happily chewing on anything and everything while Auntie Nae and I visited.

 

Peanut and the boys wanted to try the lazy river before we headed out and went around and around. 

We finally called it a day, but the fun wasn't over! Auntie Nae volunteered to take our three big girls with her and drop them off at Grandma and Grandpas where they got to spend FOUR nights! We joined them later that weekend.

On the way home Noni sent this picture. Peaches, who had been so excited about riding the train at the water park, said, "Noni! I ride the train now? I not puking in my bucket anymore!" Poor baby.

She spent another night with Noni and thankfully she was feeling better by Saturday and we were able to go to the farm for the rest of Labor Day weekend. When she was a baby we thought maybe she was allergic to peanuts because any time I had trail mix she would break out in hives literally as she was nursing. The doctor ruled it out though because she could eat peanut butter just fine. Now I am wondering if maybe it was the almonds and that's why she was puking like crazy after eating an almond flour cupcake. I am cringing at the thought of getting allergy testing done, but we might have to figure out exactly what is going on. :(

"Knock Knock" - Part 1

Ok I'm finally starting a funny sayings series for Peaches! I'm calling it "Knock knock" because whenever she tells a joke she thinks she has to start with knock knock even if it isn't a knock knock joke. :) 

Since she started talking so late I don't have as many written down for her. These first ones go back over a year when she was only two. Here we go...

July 16th

The train arms came down and no train was coming. We waited a couple of minutes and then they went back up. Bug said, "What the heck?" Peaches had just started talking and didn't say a whole lot back then but repeated, "Wha a heck? Where train? Wha a heck?" And unfortunately it became a favorite phrase for a long time. :P 

August 26th

Drama was SUPER high that morning. Bug couldn't find something to wear. She said she wasn't hungry so she wouldn't eat. I made her eat. Peaches all the while is yelling at her, "EAT! Not be yate!"

September 11th

Peaches loves to do puzzles. She had worked a little 24 piece manger scene one at Noni's and then ran to the cabinet to get out another one. She pointed to 1000 piece puzzle and told Noni, "Let's do this too-big-for-me-one!" 

January 11th

Peaches came running into the kitchen while I was making lunch. "Guess what Mommy? I hiding and eating a treat!" as she smacks her chocolate covered lips. At least she's honest? :P

January 14th

The girls discovered that Alexa will have Jimmy (Fallon) tell jokes if you ask her. Most of them are cute and funny and we all laugh. Sometimes one of the big girls will say, "I get it!" and laugh. This particular time Peaches heard the joke and said, "I don't get it! Haha! That's so funny!" 

Oh and this one is recent, but I'll include it because it goes with the picture...

August 8th

Sitting on Noni and Papa's deck. "Noni what's that smelly smell?" Noni: "The barn." Peaches, "Oh! I didn't know the barn poops!"

Lou is always throwing toys overboard, but the other day I realized that she actually knows what she is doing and is doing it on purpose! She thought it was hilarious! So did Peaches! :)
