Dancin'

One of the best ways to keep Peaches occupied is to put on some music and let her dance. Many days she wears the girls' old dance costumes all day long. She loves to dance and is actually really good at interpreting the mood/style of dance based on which songs come on. Buggy got some video this day. Not sure what was going on with her hair. Haha!

April Fools

The girls played several April Fool's pranks this year. This is what we woke up to.

And when I came downstairs I found some of our family photos had been replaced. Lol!

I also found that the eggs had morphed into funny people!

There were also lots of eyes on everything in fridge. Very clever. :)

Happy Birthday Bug!

Wow. It is so hard to believe that we have been parents for 12 years! TWELVE! One more year and this girl is a teenager! She has grown SO much this past year. Yes, in height...she's catching up to me quick...but most of all she has grown and matured into a super helpful, responsible young lady!

I don't know what I would do without her these days! Ever since Lou was born, Bug has made breakfast nearly every morning. If she didn't we would be eating at 10 every day by the time I get Lou fed and changed. Bug is also quick to change a diaper, hold the baby, play with Peaches, and just do whatever I need her to do to help out. She will even get Peaches ready to go...get her dressed, socks, shoes, and a coat...not as easy as it sounds, haha! She also takes care of Peaches in the morning since they are our early risers. Without Bug Peaches would be waking the whole household at 6:30 every day!

Baking is her newest pursuit! She bakes several times a week...cookies, but mostly cakes! Her birthday party is going to have a Baking Wars theme so more about that to come!

Bug has also taken full responsibility for her schooling this year, for which I am so thankful! She rarely needs help, and 95% of the time is super responsible to get her work done without me having to say anything! With two other sisters doing school and two little ones to take care of this is HUGE for me! We are so proud of the way she has stepped up and become so responsible in this area!

She has been on the honor roll all year and does very well on all her standardized testing. Her teachers have nothing but good things to say about her, and we are very proud of how well she is doing!

Bug is also doing wonderfully at AWANA, and recently completed the "Silver" challenge which was saying her entire book's verses with no help at all! And since they have to know the reference they also had to memorize which order the verses were in...twenty seven verses! Incredible!!! She and Boo and one other kid were the only ones to do it!

She has been doing great at soccer this Spring and has improved so much since last season! I have been surprised that she's been doing so well because other than summer soccer camp 8 months ago she really hasn't played or practiced at all.

Of course, she is amazing at dance, and it is SO much fun to watch her. I love watching my girls dance! It brings me so much joy! Bug, Boo, and the other girls their age sang a special song at Easter...I will have to get it uploaded soon. I'm trying to talk Buggy into taking voice lessons from one of my friends at church. She has a beautiful voice...I think with some training it would be amazing!

Dear Buggy,

Happy Birthday sweet girl! I cannot believe you are twelve! Eleven has been an amazing year and it has been so great watching you blossom into the mature young lady you are becoming! You have changed and grown so much this year!

You are such a big help to me and I am so thankful for you! I so appreciate every little thing you do around the house. You are so thoughtful and sweet.

Your sisters adore you and love when you play with them! They look up to you so much, and Daddy and I really appreciate when you are a good example for them. I know it has been hard the past 7 months to go from having your own space to sharing a room with three younger sisters, but you have handled it like a champ! Hopefully by your next birthday you will be back in your own room! :)

Daddy and I are so incredibly proud of you, and it is a joy to watch you growing into the young lady God has created you to be. We pray that you will always seek to do His will, and will work to please no one but Him. We pray that you will grow and mature in the grace of the Lord in this next year, and we can't wait to see what twelve brings.

We love you more than we could possibly ever say Buggy girl. Let's make this your best year ever!
