Christmas Program

Noni put together the sweetest little Christmas program at church! She worked with the kids for weeks and spent a lot of time getting it ready. It was adorable! And even more importantly it brought a bunch of people who normally wouldn't come to church and they got to hear a simple salvation message and prayer. She really facilitated some kingdom work that I pray will multiply tenfold!

Peaches had to watch her sisters' dance recital and not get to go on stage so apparently she thought this was her turn. She got up there and showed her stuff! Haha! 

Normally I forget to put bloomers on her, but Noni had gotten her dressed that morning and remembered. Thank goodness! Lol! 

Boo was a beautiful Mother Mary with her mini-me playing a sweet baby Jesus. I was worried that the baby would cry during the program, but Boo kept her calm and happy with her binky. 

 Peanut was adorable too, albeit a little overshadowed by her dancing sister. She sang loudly and looked so cute up there with her missing teeth smile. :) She had all the songs and motions down!

Peaches was a move or two behind on each of the motions, but she did pretty good for an almost-three year old! 

6th grade is usually when kids stop participating in the Christmas program so Buggy was Noni's student director and she did a great job helping out. A wonderful job was done by all!

Boo cracked me up with this sign! I think her teacher sent an email with a similar message. Too funny.

One day when Noni was over Peaches was so tired! She must be growing...she's been going down for naps almost instantly. Very nice!

 

Everybody thinks of the newborn stage as being all sweetness and baby snuggles. Here is the reality. Especially when you have a fussy one. :P 

 

We had our first Christmas baking day in the new house! We made our traditional Muddy Buddies for all the people at Daddy's work. We took them up and spread some Christmas cheer later that week.

He took her to the grocery store one night and she was so proud of herself to be the big helper. :)

Wordless Wednesday

Dance Class

These pictures were all taken and shared by the mom of one of the dancers who is also a photographer. She does an amazing job capturing the joy of dance! They are so cute I thought I would share them.

 

She even went up and got pictures of the Dads practicing their dances. You can see that they have a lot of fun with it! Haha!

School Room and Mud Room

Even with all we had going on with baby T is still plugging along on the house getting things done. One big improvement was getting the schoolroom cupboards and countertops put together. Of course the girls thought they were more fun as hidey-holes than cupboards for their school stuff. :) 

I didn't know she was in here. 

 

So nice! And so much more comfortable with the padded bar stools instead of the wooden chairs to sit on. 

 

Another project he did was to give us a door to the mudroom which will eventually lead into the garage. That way we were able to stop coming in through the kitchen and the pantry could stop being a dumping spot for coats, shoes, and bags. 

  

One day Grandma and Grandpa came over and the guys started cutting a hole in the wall for the door. 

He had already prepped it all behind the Sheetrock, knowing that we would be putting in the door soon.

Of course the day they chose was freezing. Haha.

 

But in just a couple hours we had a functioning door! Yippee! So much nicer! 

 He's also been doing other lower-profile stuff like wiring, and organizing his tools into what we need in the house and what can be stored (that was a big project, believe me!). He also made some great bench tops for the window seats in the dining room and the library. I'll have to get some pictures and post them soon!

Foam Wars!

T is such a good Daddy! We can be polar opposites in parenting styles, but I love how much fun he and the girls have together. He is always coming up with fun silly games that the girls just LOVE! This time it was foam wars. He built benches for the window seats and let the girls have the extra foam. He got home from work one night and I soon heard crazy laughter and screams coming from the basement.  

I should have gotten a video instead of pictures so you could get the full effect. It was quite funny. :)
