Except for the last one...when they get out of the crib I have a magic shut off switch and don't hear a thing at night. The big girls know to go to Daddy's side of the bed if they wake up in the middle of the night. On the other hand, if it's a noise coming from the crib I'm up in a flash and T sleeps right through it. Funny.
When the little ones needed a bath in the middle of the morning we crowded into the hall so we could contiue working on school but keep an eye on them.

Peanut went to the Farmhouse with Daddy one Saturday afternoon. She likes to have her picture taken in the grass.
The girls got to go to Noni's a few weeks ago and decorate her tree.

They spent the night and had a great time as always!
They watched the Kids Baking Championship and then wanted to try their hand at creating so Noni let them bake. They came up with these double stacked brownies and scraped the filling out of Oreos to make a frosting center. They even "plated" it. :) Peanut made jam-infused pancakes.
They brought some home to us and they were delicious! Great job girls!
I think Peaches is part cat. She LOVES boxes! The other day we had gotten some big packages and the girls dragged the boxes into the living room and were playing with them. They lost interest in them pretty quickly but Peaches played in them on and off for the next several days.
They were getting so beat up we had to tape them together.
I started taking some pictures and she fell over backwards. She thought it was pretty funny.

When T came home later he showed me these pictures and said, "I thought it was so cute that she was playing so nice and quietly in the boxes..."
"...and then I got over there and saw she had the iPad." Haha!
The Thursday before Christmas break we were invited to go ice skating with our homeschool group. I went back and forth about going because I really didn't want to take any time off so close to Christmas break, but I finally decided to go with the flow and make a fun memory for the girls.
They got up and got several subjects done which was really nice. They did their advent calendar and about 30 minutes before it was time to leave I told them there was a bonus advent activity. They went to check it. Buggy read, "Let's ditch school and go ice skating!" and started screaming. They were SO happy!
The city recently put in a totally new ice rink. It's pretty awesome! It's a loop...like a lazy river for ice skating!
The big girls LOVED it!
Peanut wavered between having fun, and whining because she couldn't do it as well. She complained that I was dragging her along even though we were moving at a snail's pace.
After a couple of rounds of me leaning over holding her around the waist...and her tripping me up once so that I fell-nearly on top of her-for the first time in years...we finally decided to try the "practice rink". It went MUCH better! The girls and I were able to skate around and around and Peanut went at her own pace and by the end of our time was doing it "all by myself!"
Our homeschool group has dwindled to just a few families. It's kind of sad. Several families have moved away and two families put their kids in local schools. I remember one of our skating days having about 40 people! It was still fun to go with these two families though.

The only bad part is that it was much more expensive than usual...I
guess they have to pay for that fancy rink. Instead of paying a fee and
being able to skate all day it was hourly. We all skated an hour, and then sat around a fire pit and ate lunch.
Peanut
was pretty tired and cold so she and I hung out inside and watched through the glass while Bug and Boo skated another hour with their friends.
Overall it was a fun time and I'm glad we ditched school to try out the new ice rink!
Noni's birthday was on a Tuesday this year so the girls and I picked up dinner and headed over to their house after Peaches woke up from her nap. T had a meeting that evening and wasn't able to come so Buggy made her own "Daddy" to bring. Haha!

Papa made a carrot cake that everybody loved.
The girls helped Noni open all her presents.
We got her a new griddle and a audio CD.
She got lots of great presents from the family.
And Peaches had to get in on the birthday fun too.
T's meeting ended up getting cancelled and he surprised us by showing up. We played some cards before heading home for the evening.
We are so blessed that we get to spend regular time with family!
