Our Peanut is such a joy. She dearly loves to laugh and can be quite the ham. She is always making funny faces for the camera, telling jokes, shaking her booty, dancing to the muse-kick, and just generally making us laugh with her faces and expressions.
She loves to climb on things and has great control of her body. She can get up on stuff that even her sisters can't by using her both her arms and legs along with leverage and ingenuity. Sometimes when she slips or stumbles she says, "See Mom, I'm ok." or "Don't worry Mommy. I'm fine."
She has funny thing of making one syllable words into two or two syllable words into three. Like car is "Car-rer" and she loves "Lucky Char-rems" and her baby sister's name is always said with three syllables instead of two.
She is so grown up and independent that at times I forget that she is still little. She can buckle herself, get dressed, get ready for bed (including brushing and flossing), get herself a drink of water, get out bowls, spoons, milk, and cereal for breakfast, get herself a snack (and open most things by herself ), and even go potty (#1) without any help. All that being said she still loves to be cuddled, held in laps, and carried around. If she could she wouldn't use her legs at all, but would be content to be carried wherever she needed to go. She also still takes a nap 2 or 3 times a week. If I don't make sure she has a nap every other day or so she will sleep until 10-10:30.
She rarely walks anywhere, but is always skipping, tripping, and twirling about.
She loves to dance, draw, color, do Playdoh, play Barbies, play on the iPad, and get dirty in the sandbox. Reading is still the favorite though. She would have me read her books for an hour every night if we could.
She loves her sisters and has a special relationship with each of them. She can play with any one of them, and is also pretty content to play on her own. She loves to be wherever I am so if they are all playing upstairs and I go to the basement to run she will come play Legos just to be near me. She loves hugs and kisses and holding hands.
She can read and write 3-4 letter words, and count to about 30 before she starts getting mixed up. She's bright just like her sisters and is going to do great when she starts preschool in a few weeks! I can't wait to see what the year brings!
Dear Peanut,
Happy Birthday sweet girl! You bring so much joy and laughter to our lives! I can't imagine our family without you: your silly faces, made-up jokes, or your booty shaking whenever you hear a good beat. I love the way you belt out worship songs in the car and the way you get the giggles when you are cracking yourself (and us!) up.
Four years have gone by so quickly. I wish I could slow down time and enjoy each day a little longer, but at the same time I am loving watching you grow, mature, and learn each day.
I am so proud of the sweet, thoughtful, kind girl you are becoming. I love the way you stop and pray each time you hear an ambulance, fire truck, or police siren. You are so sincere and trusting of God. I pray that you continue to put your trust Him and let Him guide you as you grow.
I hope that four is your best year ever...that you make lots of friends at preschool, that you hide God's word in your heart in your last year of Cubbies, that you dance your heart out, smile big each day and that you laugh a million belly laughs like you love to do.
You are beyond precious to me sweet girl. I love you more than words can say.
Love, Mommy
