Sunday morning we got up, did Easter baskets: a book, slippers, a dress, Peeps, and a little bit of candy.

After a quick breakfast we headed to church for Sunday School and services. The kids got to start the service with a little Easter poem. Peanut was cheesing for me on the stage. :)

They said their poem while walking up to see the “empty tomb”. One of the boys was behind it, as the angel, and Peanut got SO excited because she thought he was just hiding. :)

He is risen, as He said!

We thought it would be fun to go out to lunch since we did the big Easter dinner on Palm Sunday, but apparently all the restaurants in town close for Easter Sunday so we came home and I made a quick lunch.
Then it was time for an Easter egg hunt! Daddy and Grandpa hid the eggs and then we let the girls loose! Buggy was the big hunter and got the most!

Boo looked so sweet, searching for eggs with her bunny tucked under her arm.

Peanut did great finding eggs this year!

But didn’t get very many because she kept pausing to open them and see what was inside. :)

Up high…

Down low…

Stop to eat some candy…

Peanut was running down the sidewalk and tripped and skinned her knees. Grandma and Grandpa came to the rescue.

“Shanks, Gampa.” 5 second rule! :)

We were playing a little “hot and cold” for the last few eggs, and looked over to find Peanut in the corner chomping away on fistfuls of candy and she was QUITE pleased with herself! (This door looks bad…it’s going to go away this summer so we haven’t bothered to fix/paint it.)

We went inside to count the loot.

What a fun Easter!
P.S. Peanut was crying about five seconds before this picture because she didn’t want to sit down, but Grandma made them all laugh! So cute!
